I believe Shirley Halperin is a reliable reporter of Idol news. It's going to be a looooong summer. The Hollywood Reporter
PHOTOS: Adam Lambert: A Retrospective in Pictures
One thing that's certain: speculation as to who might fill the four (or three) seats will continue well into the summer, but typically, these decisions are not made until the show and its various partners come together on pressing matters of format changes and possibly new executive producers.
Bingo. SO..who's ready to partay???? Here's to Adam having a 'Magic Carpet Ride'!! This gif was too good to pass on..not Adam..one of the forty thieves maybe? No Melvin..see??

Viv, I find it hard to believe that he didn't leave yesterday also. I mean, I know he is a quick study, but this is an extravaganza. I can't see him rehearsing once tomorrow after an 8 hour flight. Plus, I'm sure there are the last fittings for the costume. IDK, that tweet though confused me. It was a good wake up time for being in NY today. But with all the !!!!!!!!!!! maybe he was being sarcastic that he was waking up in Vienna at 7:30 p.m.. If he was still on Cali time, due to jet lag, that would have been a morning time.

Yes just saw that article as well mellimom. Adam's rep have not been contacted and Kelly not interested in judging ...only mentoring roles. Edit: In most cases has Adam been asked by reporters, if he would like the judging gig? The subtley is missing now as it appears as if he is really lobbying...fine line I guess. If wrong, I know I shall be corrected! haha Do you actually think DMG is going to tell a "source" or THR if they have been contacted? If they had been contacted, they would not be allowed to say unless FOX/19 wanted it leaked. Setting that aside, we are at the beginning of speculation season and they will play with this for months. And the big Vulture scoop is "two people with knowledge of the situation tell Vulture that serious consideration is being given to the idea of filling one, and very possibly all, of the slots on the show's judging panel with former Idol contestants." We know that they considered at least 4 Idol alums last time they picked judges and they went with Adam. Regarding THR, Shirley's sources are at 19 and no doubt that they want JLo back. I do not think FOX will agree to pay her the $20 million she wants.

I think he is in Austria but perhaps tweeted on his morning? When I travel for short trips, I do not change time -- thus no jet lag.

You know Adam's cryptic sense of humor...he's got tons to do in Vienna. Wouldn't make sense for him NOT to be there already. I think he's pulling our proverbial legs with his twit. A jetlag morning in Vienna..at 7:30PM is it? That is SO Adam. Why say good morning from NYC? Nah, I think he's there and raring to go tomorrow.

www.hollywoodreporter.com/idol-worship/american-idol-kelly-clarkson-will-553909 I really wish Adam would not wear his heart on his sleeve in regards to Idol,IMHO they just take him for granted.I think they are blind, deaf and dumb when it comes to Adam on the panel. I really can't stand the way they kept him hanging last time. I have no hopes that they will pick our guy,in fact I think they will go through everyone else before they even consider him.. Adam is just too eager, how about playing a little hard to get?? Just sayin I agree completely and I said so earlier. Sometimes he's just too nice/honest/open/cupcakey. If they know he's ready & willing they can get him for a song and they'll also keep him hanging til the last moment. He's so smart 99.9% of the time. This is the 1%.

Maybe broken English, but that's just what I was trying to say. Chartered plane or flight or whatever yes but not an aircraft owned by Life Ball (what would they do with a private jet during the year?). So no mashed potatoes about whether Adam might not have taken this chartered flight and is already in Vienna? He's the opening performer, not a dignitary that stands around looking..'dignitarily'...he's got rehearsals to do. Anyway, any 'good morning' Adam tweet sounds like a happy tweet to me. The quote was about the video of a plane with Life Ball ads and why it's posted etc. It was implied that it is a 'private plane' (which I understand meaning ownership) and taking off to fetch US people when the video I saw was shot much earlier (it surely was not standing by on JFK for a month or longer). My feeling (posted earlier today) is that Adam would be flying with others. He can rehearse on Friday (and soundcheck perhaps on Saturday). It's possible to email the orchestra parts and I guess the choreo is for the 40 thieves mostly > a run-through might be enough. ETA My opinion is that he should be in Vienna already but I have been so very wrong with my expectations in the past when he has appeared at his destination the very last minute.

That's what I thought, viv! Why say Good Morning from NYC? Makes no sense. All my Twitter friends tho have out voted me & insist he will be on that plane from NYC tonight. :( Even though I keep saying, "BUT HE IS NOT A GUEST!!!!!!!!!!! He has work to do!" The only time I've ever seen him cut his traveling time that close to a performance was when he went from Bali to Minsk. And really, who could blame him for staying in the tropics longer?
