Yes just saw that article as well mellimom. Adam's rep have not been contacted and Kelly not interested in judging ...only mentoring roles. Edit: In most cases has Adam been asked by reporters, if he would like the judging gig? The subtley is missing now as it appears as if he is really lobbying...fine line I guess. If wrong, I know I shall be corrected! haha Do you actually think DMG is going to tell a "source" or THR if they have been contacted?

When did last year's judges get announced? September? This year is very different..Idol is undergoing an overhaul. Big time if they have any cahones. I can imagine that we will see all sorts of press to keep Idol on people's screens, but I'm not taking any of it to the bank. I expect to see announcements of some of the production staff and finality of all of this year's judges leaving before Idol gets really serious about that aspect. They IMO have bigger problems right now. Just the fact I they are wanting people to fill out surveys (which I did..in length) tells me they know the old has to go. It's gonna be a process. Sure, Idol is putting out feelers. They 'felt' for a LONG time last year. Also A3 is embryonic...that word scares me. Adam doesn't seem to be in the hurry he was before. So timing I guess. Idol may not even be an option if Adam does have some music going and is asked to do big gigs again. I guess what I'm saying is that I hate to see anyone here upset cause Adam hasn't signed on already. Be good to yourselves, K? It's gonna be a long haul.

I guess you missed my post 2 days ago, Q3. I did a test with an unlisted video of mine. I had 5 friends + myself loop it for most of one day. I made sure I chose a video that already was past the magical 301 number. It ended up (after 24 hours) adding 189 views which I figure is probably about 10% of what actually happened. Now this comes to 31 views per person. So my recommendation was that if you think you can get in more than 20-24 views per day, manually, then do it manually. If not, go ahead and loop because about 10% will get counted. Still confused. Would you recommend one of the playlists above? If not, I'll try again with your suggestions. I missed that post. There are at least 2 "magical" numbers. I think there are more. In 2011, the rules for the counter changed at 300 and at 10,000 becoming more stringent after 10,000. They are more sophisticated now than they were in 2011 because paid advertising is now an important part of YT. People discovered the 10,000 view line but no one know the current line. (The 2013 update changed everything.) Did the video have more than 10,000 views? *** Generally, YT does not seem to care how a video get the first several thousand views. But they do care about popular videos with count manipulation. In January 2013 YouTube did a major update on the view count system and actually removed more than 2 billion fake views from lots of big name companies and they even shut down the channels of some of the more egregious offenders. There are some YT watchers who think they monitor based only the number of new update views -- and since Titanium is only gaining 1260 views an hour, it might be view enough to get enhanced review. But Youtube’s analysts/programs certainly have the capacity to spot fake views done with a loop playlist posted on YT. ** I have an idea if you and your five friends are game, can you retest with the multi-Adam video and see if it does any better?

I think playing a loop of the same song is totally insane. It's just the thing that YT wants to eradicate from their play count: repetitive plays from the same IP address.
I believe it has been established that there should be a lengthy interval between plays for them to be counted. So, playlist of different videos makes more sense. Why on earth not increase the count of other songs too if you are willing to run the playlist anyway???
Personally, I play Titanium a lot but I attempt to do it more organically. I go to the video via different routes. I click every article link and if they have the duet posted I click and let it play. I make sure to play some other song/s in between Titanium plays, some of them Adam's but mostly other artists. If I'm not at my computer to play these other songs then I try, when coming back, to search Titanium on YT with different searchwords or start with the 'americanidol' channel or sometimes just refresh. It might sound complicated but it is more random and imitates my normal actions.
PS I have doubts with the playlists in general (and loops especially). That's because I've encountered many videos that won't even play in playlists (the list stops playing) - the same video can be listened separately just not as a part of the list. I suspect the reason might be too many repetitive, robot-like plays of the video in question earlier. Also I usually have a dozen or more tabs open and playlist in the background on top of that sometimes slows everything down or freezes the computer altogether.

IMO Austrian Airlines are probably sponsoring the event and they have decorated their planes with the logo and text advertising both the event and the cause. Now that there was news about 'private' flight from NY to Vienna someone maybe wanted to show us what the plane looks like. I don't expect it will be the exact same plane that they have chartered but similar. I don't believe either that it actually is a private plane - only chartered private flight. And video might have been the only one they found to show the decorated plane as the ads change and might not be featured on their permanent material on planes. I believe there actually is a chartered plane out of NYC for LifeBall today. Maybe broken English, but that's just what I was trying to say. Chartered plane or flight or whatever yes but not an aircraft owned by Life Ball (what would they do with a private jet during the year?).

I believe Shirley Halperin is a reliable reporter of Idol news. It's going to be a looooong summer. The Hollywood Reporter 'American Idol': Kelly Clarkson Will Not Judge Season 13 11:30 AM PDT 5/23/2013 by Shirley Halperin A rep for the season one winner denies reports that she's being courted for next year's panel. www.hollywoodreporter.com/idol-worship/american-idol-kelly-clarkson-will-553909
Despite rampant rumors, a rep for Kelly Clarkson tells The Hollywood Reporter that the American Idol winner will not be judging season 13 of the Fox show.
It was reported by New York Magazine's Vulture blog on Wednesday that series producers are considering an all alumnae panel for next year's competition, after seeing a double digit drop in viewership for season 12, which was judged by expensive music celebrities Mariah Carey and Nicki Minaj, in addition to Randy Jackson and Keith Urban. E! later reported that a three-judge table made up of alums is “95% there" and featured images of Clarkson, Clay Aiken and Jennifer Hudson.
The stories did not address comments made by country star Urban, who told reporters at the season 12 finale that he would love to return next year. Speaking to THR on the red carpet, season eight runner-up Adam Lambert also said he'd be thrilled to join the panel. He later commented, "Where do I sign?" But according to a source, Lambert's representatives have not yet heard from Idol brass regarding a possible place on the panel. Another insider tells THR the producers' first choice is to bring Jennifer Lopez back and that will.i.am, a frequent Idol guest, both as performer and mentor, is also high on the list. However, a source close to will.i.am says it's "doubtful" the rapper-producer turned solo artist would be able to honor Idol's time commitment.

One thing that's certain: speculation as to who might fill the four (or three) seats will continue well into the summer, but typically, these decisions are not made until the show and its various partners come together on pressing matters of format changes and possibly new executive producers.

So no mashed potatoes about whether Adam might not have taken this chartered flight and is already in Vienna? He's the opening performer, not a dignitary that stands around looking..'dignitarily'...he's got rehearsals to do. Anyway, any 'good morning' Adam tweet sounds like a happy tweet to me.
