Actually , and I'm not lying here , in Syria , EVERYBODY knows who Adam Lambert is . (the young generation and the old generation who likes pop english songs) And Adam does get played on TV , I see his music videos . I've NEVER seen P2's videos here , nor have I heard of the song , and , you know what ? I only know of him because YOU GUYS talk about him . Nobody knows about him here , in this far far away , third-class country . I've never ever ever heard his song , or seen his name on TV . Everybody knows about Adam Lambert . The Rock God . In fact , you know what ? the Adam Lambert AI season WAS THE ONLY SEASON AIRED HERE ON MBC4 . No seasons after that . Makes you think , eh ? Sorry , but Adam is more of a household name than that guy . Actually , I think that guy is not even WORTH MENTIONING HERE . Let's get back to Adam and his super-mega-stardom . ![]() I live (as you probably know) in the heart of New York City. If not for this place I would've never heard of P2 (as I've stopped paying any attention to AI) or his songs... even after everyone pointing to the Olympics Gymnastics I haven't managed to "catch" it... but of course it is my own "deftness", apparently he is popular somewhere in the US....actually I am sure if I ask about P2 around me I would get the same blank stare as I used to get when I brought up AL. |

This is heartbreaking. I also don't understand why the numbers on FYE have not moved. Surely more units have been selling. Does RCA continue to track this? It obviously would make a difference if it went platinum. I feel like I am at MJs with these posts. Who the hell cares if idiots don't think international sales matter? You know what? They don't pay Adam or RCA with bananas in other countries. It is $$$$$ just like here! WWFM is almost double platinum, IIHY is close to platinum, as is FYE the album. FYE, the single is close to Gold. Trespassing did not do what it should have but I am not going to get into how badly RCA screwed that up. As far as P2 being in Rio (if he recovers from being very, very ill) it is because he is (might) be touring with John Mayer. Home was a good song. It would have gone platinum without the Olympics. With the Olympics, it got a huge boost. Right now his second single is riding on the success of a 4X platinum single. Oh, and even with that, it has taken it 4 months to start getting any Top 40 radio adds. P2 is riding on his post year of Idol success. He has Interscope as his label which seems to be able to get radio play easier than RCA does  . Oh and with a 4X platinum single, his album is still not platinum. Will it? Sure, because it is close. Is he filling up venues, on his own, of 5K-19K size. Nope! And I'll bet he never will! Let's see how P2 does with album #2. Excuse me now while I go back to twitter and flail over Adam's new photos! TY! Yes. He also had a # 1 and a # 3 album in the most competitive country on the planet. And he got great complements for those. Artists are not only defined by single charts. There is touring, there is musical influence, there is cultural influence, there is albums, there is videos, ringtones, games, TV, commercials, and on and on and on....and yes there are the ever talked about single charts. I do think that radio and RCA are both guilty as charged, though, so that part, I agree with. But I sure am not worried about P2. Different music style, different personality, totally different game. Nothing in common, except for AI. And yes, Home was a great song. Kamar, so great that you can hear Adam, love to hear that story! |

P2 and Adam.. apples and oranges..I love Adam ,not at all impressed with P2, so who gives a hoot..Vive La Difference everybody is welcome to their likes and dislikes.. totally subjective.
I love Adam because he's unique,his music is unique and he is highly individualistic.. Others go for a familiar sound,I like to be surprised ,to be intrigued.
IMHO Adam Is world wide famous and is loved by millions around the globe.. He is more than a singer ,he is a performer. Stage &TV is where he really shines.
I'm not going to fret,new word for angst.Adam will find a way,he always does.. I still hold to my belief that he will be iconic
