Idol related: Awww.....Vote for the Worst officially shut down today. I gotta say that when even the Idol satire sites are closing shop, I wonder about the continuing existence of the show, judge shakeup or no..... They were long overdue to shut down. They lost their significance or humor (if they ever had any) about 3 seasons ago. I think they had about 5 people posting. |

I have to say a few things... Lynne, beautiful post, thank you!  There is something about the way you talk about your sons which makes me all verklempt  ::::~ LA City Council has THE MOST AMAZING officials! I think I'm in love! ::::~ As far as Adam's private life is concerned, I want to know, sue me. Oh, you are too kind; sorry for the self-indulgence. So many things Adam says or does connect to conversations I've had with my sons, or with people in my life, and help me process thoughts and ideas I've been mulling over. Conversely, sometimes things people do or say lead right into my Adam databank. My children love when I bring up his experiences/reflections as examples and discussion points, as you can only imagine, lol. I've clearly never been good at compartmentalizing my worlds. I try to make it less obvious with my sons; here I'm afraid I push "send " all too often. That being said, I am aware that my reflections about all things Adam are only projections of my own quest to name and understand my own experience. You could say they are my covers- my own interpretations of his fabulous songs, delivered with my own spin, lol. He provides the material for me to re-mix. Adam is a catalyst who fires off my brain synapses right and left, and that, in addition to his voice, his talent and his undeniable good looks, is what keeps me here all these years later. He inspires me; he helps me connect my dots. He makes me think; then he makes me think again. Simply put, he makes me want to sing. |

I refuse to take any of my stanning underground, whether that be discussing what music Adam likes or what boys Adam likes --it's all good to me. And I don't think anyone meant to imply that it was wrong to be invested in his love life anyway, but I know there's always that feeling that we all have to agree or conform. I sure wouldn't want to repress any Aleks essays on the deep meaning of Adam's first known date with his soon-to-be new flame, the significance of what he wears, how he holds his eyebrows, his hands, the steering wheel--whatever. Keep it out front bb, where we all can see it. Lynn and Junie--loving you both! |

Isn't that also an explanation for why we are so invested in Adams love live? Sauli is family now and always will be, but we will be equally interested(intrusive) in any future love interest IMHO. Poor guys  But neither Adam nor Sauli are truly family or even friends to any of us, since we do not know them personally. We are fans who support Adam's career, but we are not family. And not everyone is heavily invested in Adam's love life. I wish Adam all the happiness in the world, but I'm not really interested in who he dates. That is his private life (which should remain as private as he chooses it to be, IMO). My main interest is in his professional life -- his music, and his other accomplishments. And I'm only interested in Adam's friends to the degree that what they do is of interest to me (for example, Adam's friend Ty Taylor, who is in a great band called Vintage Trouble). Sauli seems like a nice person but until he actually does something of interest, I can't consider myself to be a fan. Different strokes for different folks. YMMV. ![]() |

Glad they packed it up. I think they lost their sense of humor during Season 8 when they moved from supporting joke contestants to worked to defeat Adam. JMHO they will not be missed. |

I DO keep my remarks about the Cherry's (Riffy is such a precious baby!), Tommy and Sutan ... and Ashley and Isaac and ... to a minimum here.... But still, they are Adams life. His everyday life and love. I love them for this alone. PS: There are most likely tons of other important people in his live who I don't know about .... I am a twitter fan only ... but that gives him some control, IMO? |

All these Idol bloggers who wrote negatives about Adam, they did it because they claimed they don't like the over invested Glamberts, and did it to Adam's expenses... that's why I'm so happy that they close the door .. Diversity ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() I love reading what other people think/believe/feel even when I don't agree with them, and the info, vids, news etc....would not know what to do w/out it all. there is always something eye opening or mind-altering (  ) or heartwarming to read/learn. So bring it on, bbs , " no hiding" as one of my kids would say. ![]() Pretty sure am not the only who feels this way And not to forget, the fun and funny stuff ![]() |
