Adam Lambert, LeAnn Rimes Flick Off Bullies

Today, images of LeAnn Rimes and Adam Lambert giving cameras the middle finger began circulating around the internet in support of an anti-bullying campaign that embraces a new "F" word -- friendship.
Originating in Los Angeles, the Friend Movement is a grassroots organization created by Elliot Dal Pra London and Ronnie Kroell that aims to prevent bullying through enabling people to be better friends and by displaying positive images of people of all races, genders, and creeds.
The "New F Word" campaign is the organization's most recent effort in spreading bullying awareness and self-empowerment, as well as replacing hurtful "F" words like "freak" and "fag" with kinder ones like "friend."
By displaying thousands of pictures of celebrities and other supporters flipping the bird at bullying, the campaign hopes that others will learn to speak out against the issue and not let it continue because of silence. According to their website, the movement encourages victims of bullying to have an inner monologue that says, "F U, I am actually really FABULOUS and do not need your approval."
Along with Lambert and Rimes, stars such as Tim Gun, Lance Bass, and Carmen Elektra have given their help (and fingers) to this campaign. The Friend Movement will be launching a Kickstarter today to raise funds for a national tour where they will take 10,000 pictures of supports in three months to take a stance against all different types of bullying.

'American Idol': Executive Wipe-Out

Surfaris Wipe Out! Trust me it is perfect!!
The Wrap is reporting that everything about Idol is on hold until Fox brings in a new executive team. The full report follows, but here are the “Adam fan” highlights of this unconfirmed report:
• There will be no decision on the judges until Fox replaces alternative programming chief Mike Darnell. No surprise, Nigel Lythgoe and Ken Warwick are also both on their way out. (Also reported by The Hollywood Reporter see below.)
• They were considering a 3-person all-alumni panel with JHud and Kelly. A deal with JHud was negotiated but there is no one to approve the contract. Kelly has been contacted but her reps still say she will not be an Idol judge.
• And on Adam, they write “We also hear that Adam Lambert and Clay Aiken, two other names floated as possible former contenders-turned-judges, have not recieved offers. Though one of the individuals we talked to said that if the show actually moves forward on an all-alum panel, then Lambert is the show producers' top contender.”
The bottomline: Until Fox replaces Darnell, nothing is going to be happening with the Idol judges panel. So my advice is do not bother with any polls or other fan efforts to support Adam as a judge, because there is no one to see them.
So here is the full report from The Wrap:
'American Idol' Chaos: Producers Nigel Lythgoe, Ken Warwick Out (Exclusive)
The Fox talent competition is in flux in the wake of alternative programming chief Mike Darnell's exit
Published: June 04, 2013 @ 11:02 am
"American Idol" is firing longtime executive producers Nigel Lythgoe and Ken Warwick in a continuing bid to win back viewers and shake up the show, an insider with knowledge of the show told TheWrap.
Fox declined to comment on this report.
TheWrap was the first to report in early May that there would be major changes next season, including the executive firings and a wipe-out of Season 12's judging panel. (Since our report, Randy Jackson, Nicki Minaj and Mariah Carey have announced their departures, leaving only, at this point, Keith Urban.)
Lythgoe and Warwick launched the show together during its inaugural season in 2002 and also worked on its predecessor, Britain's "Pop Idol." Lythgoe left "Idol" in 2008 then returned in 2010.
Their terminations from the show arrive amid flux for the talent competition after alternative programming chief Mike Darnell's sudden Memorial Day weekend exit.
The new judging panel was aimed at assembling three former "Idol" contenders, including Jennifer Hudson and Kelly Clarkson, but that plan appears to be in a holding pattern since Darnell's departure and a lack of someone at the top to make the final decisions, a senior executive with knowledge of the production told TheWrap.
"We can't make any moves on 'Idol' without someone in there," the executive said.
Also read: Nicki Minaj Confirms 'American Idol' Exit
Fox's search for Darnell's replacement is ongoing and the network has even extended it to overseas, the insider said.
Darnell's exit and the pending departure of the top producers makes for a confusing mix at the top of Fox's ranks, in addition to what the executive calls "dysfunction" between the network and "Idol" producers, FremantleMedia and 19 Entertainment.
For example, a deal already has been hammered out with Oscar-winner Hudson -- one individual with knowledge of the negotiations told TheWrap that she would receive a $5.5 million salary while the executive said it's more like $4 million.
But Fox has yet to actually execute the contract.
What are they waiting for?
First, there's the absence of a top unscripted executive to give his or her thumbs up. Second, they're waiting on Clarkson, the show's inaugural winner, who's arguably its best example of how a win on the Fox compeition can mean not only hits but longevity in the business.
She's also very popular with "Idol's" core audience -- a group the network wants desperately to win back.
Clarkson has been floated as a candidate since the news broke in May that "Idol" was looking for a panel of alums for Season 13. Both insiders confirm that she has been contacted by the show to gauge her interest, though her reps confirmed again on Tuesday that "Kelly is not doing 'Idol.'"
We also hear that Adam Lambert and Clay Aiken, two other names floated as possible former contenders-turned-judges, have not recieved offers. Though one of the individuals we talked to said that if the show actually moves forward on an all-alum panel, then Lambert is the show producers' top contender.
Another option would be having just one former contender return -- maybe keeping Urban and finding one or two other artists. And by the way, if the show does decide to go with just one alum, then Clarkson makes better sense as the No. 1 choice, which may further explain why Fox is holding off on fully executing Hudson's agreement.
This is the debate that's raging pending Darnell's replacement, according to the insider.
The show reboot comes on the heels of its lowest-rated season of its run. Although the series is still one of the most-watched shows on broadcast TV, Season 12's ratings fell more than 20 percent over the previous season.
This season's finale earned a series low with a 3.6 rating, which was 44 percent down in the advertiser-coveted 18-49 demographic from last season's finale. It also fell to 14.3 million total viewers from last season's 21.5 million.

‘American Idol': Executive Producers Nigel Lythgoe, Ken Warwick Are Out
2:00 PM PDT 6/4/2013 by Shirley Halperin, Michele Amabile Angermiller
The longtime friends, who helped launch the Fox show in 2002, won't be around for season 13, say sources.
In a move widely expected by industry insiders, American Idol executive producers Nigel Lythgoe and Ken Warwick "will be leaving the show,” a source tells The Hollywood Reporter. However, formal exit discussions have not yet begun.
THR noted in a May 8 story that the two longtime friends and showbiz pros would likely be shown the door, as the Fox series continues to weather a public beating due to sinking ratings -- the season 12 finale was down more than 40 percent when compared to Idol's closer in 2011.
As recently as this past weekend, a war room-like meeting was called to go over a laundry list of issues facing the troubled program. Coming off of “a difficult season,” as a well-placed show insider calls its most recent run, led to drastic measures like the exodus of most of the judging panel, including Mariah Carey, Nicki Minaj and longtime Idol fixture Randy Jackson. Another source tells THR that Keith Urban’s fate has still not been determined; Fox alternative programming head Mike Darnell's has, however, when he decided to leave the network.
Both Lythgoe and Warwick have been with the show since its inaugural season in 2002 and also worked on its predecessor, Britain's Pop Idol. Lythgoe took a two-year break during seasons eight and nine but continued to produce other shows like the beloved So You Think You Can Dance, which airs on Fox and is a property of 19 Entertainment.
Neither Warwick or Lythgoe are employed by the network, however. Idol is a co-production of FremantleMedia and 19, which is owned by CORE Media Group. Lythgoe also has a development pact with Shine America, a subsidiary of Shine Group, whose CEO is Rupert Murdoch's daughter Elisabeth Murdoch. In all likelihood, both Warwick and Lythgoe will continue to work with Fox on future programs.
While talk of an all-Idol alumni panel for next year has stalled somewhat -- with season-three finalist Jennifer Hudson still "close to a deal" (one report estimates her salary will be in the vicinity of $4.5 million, but another Idol insider tells THR that producers are looking to pay closer to the $1 million mark, which may explain the slow process) -- there remain plenty of unanswered questions as to what season 13 will look or sound like. But one thing seems certain: Plenty are hoping for a whole new approach to what was once America's favorite singing show.
Fox and FremantleMedia would not comment. CORE/19 has yet to respond to THR's request for comment.
As always, developing...

Adam Lambert Joins AT&T And The Trevor Project For LGBT Pride Month (VIDEO)
The Huffington Post | By Christopher Rudolph Posted: 06/04/2013 11:44 am EDT
AT&T has teamed up with The Trevor Project and Adam Lambert for Pride Month. They have started Live Proud, a campaign where they promise to pledge $25,000 to The Trevor Project, but the Facebook community could help AT&T double that. For everyone who "Likes" the Live Proud campaign on Facebook, AT&T will donate a $1 to The Trevor Project, up to $50,000.
AT&T will also add 50 cents to every donation for each person who re-tweets with @att, @trevorproject or @adamlambert with the hashtag #attliveproud. On top of the generous donations to The Trevor Project, the LiveProud campaign is also asking for LGBT adults to submit their most proud moments through video or written testimonials. Ten winners will be announced and they receive tickets to the Live Proud VIP Experience where Adam Lambert will perform a private concert for the winners and their guests.
Lambert, who recorded a video message for the campaign (which you can watch above) said: "Too many lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and questioning youth don’t believe they have a voice -- but I want to show them that they do, and encourage them to live free and to live proud." Aside from ten winners being chosen, some of the proud moments submitted could also be featured in a video montage celebrating LGBT youth.
The campaign ends June 30, so do your part by going over to the Live Proud Facebook page and clicking "Like." It's as easy as that to contribute to The Trevor Project this Pride month.

Adam Lambert Wants To Use His Celebrity To Increase Gay Visibility
By On Top Magazine Staff
Published: June 04, 2013
Singer Adam Lambert says he wants to use his celebrity to increase gay visibility.
The 31-year-old Lambert made his comments in accepting the City of Hope Award from Los Angeles Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa. Lambert was chosen for the honor because of his “accomplishments and advocacy on behalf of the LGBT community.”
Villaraigosa presented the award to Lambert during a ceremony at Los Angeles City Hall on Thursday.
Lambert explained that after his experience on American Idol he realized that he had been given a platform.
“And slowly but surely as it all sunk in I realized wow what a great opportunity I have to give people something that I didn't really have a lot of growing up,” Lambert said. “Now, I have a really supportive family and my friends are really supportive, but I didn't see a lot of figures in the media that were representing the LGBT community. Let alone a diverse LGBT community. And that's been one of my missions this whole time is to not necessarily be the quintessential gay man but to be a gay man who doesn't want to fit in. Who wants to be his own person. Who doesn't make any apologies.” (The audio is embedded on this page. Visit our video library for more videos.)

Angelina Jolie’s 5 Most Over-The-Top Film Fashions, In Honor Of Her Birthday

1. Sky Captain and the World of Tomorrow

I remember looking at Angelina Jolie when this movie came out and thinking, “Not a big deal. Victoria Beckham would totally wear that.” This proves a couple of things: 1) Victoria Beckham brainwashed us into believing plenty of absurd fashion choices were totally normal; 2) The apocalypse is well over. Look. At. That. Look. Her shoulders have GROMMETS. Only Adam Lambert is allowed to do that!
