Just saw reference to the 'strip district' in Pgh and hope those who don't live there know it is not a sleazy kind of district (that would be Liberty Ave where the concert is scheduled. At least it used to be that all the strip joints were on Liberty.) It's actually the area where all the produce trucks, etc come in and which is full of restauranteurs in the morning getting things for their daily offerings. The restaurants scattered about used to be open from 2am till 2pm to service all of them. Been gone a while, but still head down for various items when visiting my daughter.
I saw someone on Twitter mention that visitors should try to get up to Mt. Washington, preferably on the incline, and to Point Park, where the rivers converge, and not form opinions of the city from Liberty Avenue. Oh, and I hear Market Square, middle of downtown area, is a hot spot now. My daughter actually ran into Paul Ryan and his contingent there during the campaign. She said he had no personality.... haha

It's on youtub now... One more.. Omg, poor bb! I'm hopping on the angst train this very second... I mean, he looks so worried and sad, almost suicidal  Who wouldn't be? He was at Ivy's concert with his current BF, ex BF, his own BFF, his ex BF's BFF, and his hairstylist; it was like the entire audience was actually Adam Lambert's entourage or something:))) The new millennium version of hippy communes:))) I can totally see how it can make people depressed:))) |
