OK, here is an embarrassingly dumb question, but its a nagging little worry that I would like to dismiss. I put my computer on mute and stream Adam on Rhapsody & Spotify as well as run the video play list that 4Msrmyn posts off and on all day long. My worry is that they might negate each other. For example, would the powers at Rhapsody ever know that I am gaming the system and not count the plays?
Speaking of Spotify, anyone who hasn't followed Adam there should try to do so. His follower count is very, very low 94,735 compared to most other artists, and this is an important site in what is a new era for music distribution.

The thing about Spotify is that the artists get very, very little money from it..Adam once mentioned that.. anyone know where he talked about Spotify? I really don't know what to do about it

I assume that applies to all non-Americans.

Lol. Why does he have to be doing work in NYC? Maybe on a well deserved Vacation? He's certainly having FUN Hi there! Long time no see. I think people think he has official business in NYC because shosh tweeted something about going to NYC. Didn't happen of course. Adam may have also said something way back when he originally mentioned going to New York but I'm not sure about that. And lastly, people are antsy (not angsty - antsy) for A3 to start. And yes to the fun & vacation part! Even if he is doing official business he's managing to have lots of FUN!

This is article is from Spotify so has their spin, but I found it interesting. Here is a quote: 3. How do artists get paid on Spotify? Spotify pays out the majority (approaching 70%) of ALL of our revenue (advertising and subscription fees) to rights holders: artists, labels, publishers, and performing rights societies (e.g. ASCAP, BMI, etc.). In just three years since launching, Spotify has paid out over 500M USD in royalties. www.spotify.com/us/about-us/artists/get-paid-from-spotify/
