Hey y'all. If you could all just please try to avoid *re*posting the same gifs on the same page most of the loading problems should take care of themselves.

Hi. The previous page has 9 gifs posted on it. For folks with slower internet connections, that page probably isn't going to load. Is there any way that we can limit the number of gifs on a page (or at least not keep re-posting gifs multiple times)? I know that several people have mentioned that they have had trouble loading pages with lots of gifs on them. Just a thought.  [puts on mod hat] Cassie? Tina et al? Should we try to keep it to no more than 4 big gifs a page today? These are awesomely funny but admittedly quite large. Mods, can we discuss on the staff board? I agree that we need to limit gifs for those with slower connections. Thanks. |

Looking forward to listening! Thanks for the great videos from the concert, too. So many mighty fine GIFs came from that concert. And then a week later Adam sang an absolutely thrilling rendition of "The Star-Spangled Banner" for a Broadway crowd. I can't believe how many times I've listened to the national anthem in the past few days! It seems really appropriate to listen to it again today. I was really disappointed by the Supreme Court's Voting Rights Act decision yesterday. Then I was fired up watching the live stream from Texas last night and by the good news that finally followed, and now more wonderful, historic news today with the rulings on DOMA and Prop 8. Huge step forward for equality and anti-discrimination! Oh, and what a frickin awesome cameo by Adam in a very cool video! (Would so love to see the rest of his sing-along that didn't make the cut!) |

I like it when you remind us! Happy to hear the good news from the US Supreme Court. It's a bit ironic that the Canadian Senate has just passed a bill today fixing a loophole in our Civil Marriage Act so now same-sex divorce is available to non-residents in Canada. I gather people came here to get married and then couldn't get a divorce in their own community where the marriage was not deemed legal. Just shows that same-sex couples are regular people too. They can fall in love and they can fall out of love. HAHA Happy...did not know that...was so busy following US laws. How funny! Carry on Canada... |
