Geez - I do so love this site! Was reading in some other places about the DOMA ruling and the bible trolls were coming out in force {shudders} ATOPpers come from so many different countries, religions, creeds, and political affiliations (yep, we have Dems/Repubs/Christians/Jews/Muslims/atheists/and more posting here). And yet everyone here is happy today no matter their background. [grins] I know we're a self selecting community considering who we stan. Nonetheless, its a pleasure being here. :-)  So agree!!!! I spend a lot of time lurking and I used to lurk at many sites. Now it's mostly Adamtopia for all the reasons you mentioned. I also enjoy learning so much from all the Atoppers. What other site would match Adam's brilliant rendition of the SSB with a history lesson? Love it. And the Atoppers are really 'on top' of everything Adam. A great group of funny, empathetic, charitable. eloquent, creative, passionate people. Hope I get to meet some of you some day. |

For this politics watcher, this has been one of the best mornings in a long time. Not only is DOMA struck down and Prop 8 deemed unconstitutional, but at least for today the historic filibuster by Wendy Davis to prevent enactment of SSB5 was successful with the loud and raucous intervention of the gallery. If there is one thing Texans are good at, it is being loud and raucous. It was down to minutes. Yay for you guys. I watched a bit of the live stream last night after someone posted it. A good day in US politics. As opposed to the shameful travesty here in Oz where our first female prime minister was finally hounded from office for a combination of things, one of which was that she wasn't a middle aged white guy... #sexism is alive and well in Australian politics. Is a sad day for me when Texas provides my inspiration!! |

Adam has great comedic talent. I have my objective hat on while I'm saying this btw. :D Seriously I hate to see that talent being wasted - I so want everyone to see that, apart from being a superb vocalist, he is FUNNY. He just doesn't take himself too seriously. That's they key I think.
I really, really, really love the guy!!!
