Just have to say how happy I am about the strikedown of DOMA! Still a lot of progress to be made. Marriage Equality is not legal in my state (PA) and may not be for a long time. I think Utah is in line behind Pennsylvania. Our religion of the majority was behind Prop 8. But things are changing, even here in Utah. Wouldn't you agree Murly? (I hope I spelt your name correctly.)

What a joyous day - for my cousin and his partner of many years - and for all of us! I chose this early version of "A Change is Gonna Come" as it shows Adam's absolute intensity of the moment. His recent performance of the Star Spangled Banner reminded me of this intensity complete with his Boy Scout salute and strong stride from the stage. I so love this man. My daughter-in-law, my granddaughter and her friend will all being going to San Francisco Pride this weekend - and what a celebration it will be! I surely would like to be there with them, but I will be on my way to SoCal to meet up with my SoCal family and my LA son who will come with me to San Diego and Adam! And for Texas Atoper's and all women of Texas, all I can say is - You Go, Girl! - you represent so many of us. So proud of all of you. A Change is Gonna Come - indeed!

Hmm - It looks like I didn't post what I wanted to correctly.
Anyway, what I wanted to highlight was Adam's version of "A Change is Gonna Come" from the Zodiac Show in 2004. It shows up on 4Msrmyn's post on page 3 of this thread.

David Leonhardt If California becomes 13th state to legalize same-sex marriage, roughly 30% of Americans would live in jurisdictions where it is legal.

www.thebacklot.com/hump-day-with-adam-lambert-star-spangled-lambert/06/2013/?utm=share_twitterHump Day With Adam Lambert: Star Spangled Lambertby snicks | June 26, 2013 It’s no secret we love Adam Lambert and the energy and joy he brings to the otherwise sterile, manufactured world of modern pop music. But he’s such a worldwide whirling dervish that it’s sometimes difficult to keep track of where and when he touches down. Hence our weekly feature Hump Day With Adam Lambert, which will hopefully keep us up-to-date with his appearances, performances, and interviews. And on those weeks when Adam’s talents lie dormant, we bring you classic pics and performances. Adam had a fun week, appearing at Broadway Bares and having fun with Vines (page two). Let’s start things off with some pics and captions from Adam’s Instagram Account and Twitter Page. 4 yrs ago today… @rollingstone cover! Dear friends!! @edenespinosa and the Jenn Rias more..
