So does it mean the ATT Live proud private event did not get that many entries? I feel sorry for the poor sap that paid, what was it, $6000? to attend a "VIP private concert" if now some radio station is now giving away tickets. Am I confused about this? Seems weird to me and like a bit of a farce. As long as some of Adam's Glamberts are there it should be all good.

I'm sure there were enough entries. This is a VIP private event. It make more sense that a few tickets were designated to the contest winner/s, a few to the auction winner and the rest were designated to industry people and selected radio stations.
