The VIP winners of the ATT Live Proud contest received (from the ATT website):

Ten selected winners, plus one guest each, will be chosen to attend the AT&T Live Proud VIP experience with Lambert. VIP winners will receive travel accommodations, an exclusive meet-and-greet and private concert.

So winning was not just about a concert and the winners could be from anywhere in the US. It will in no way diminish these winners multi-faceted experience that other people from within the KIIS viewing area are also allowed to attend the concert. These people are just locationally lucky and those locationally lucky individuals who were not lucky enough to win the total experience can still go to the concert. I'm jealous. Groupies, really?
