I don't think it's an unpopular opinion. :( I love that Adams fans love him so much that they will move heaven and earth to see him, and I know everyone's heart is in the right place. But this event was specifically to celebrate LGBT youth. This situation just makes me sad, in many different ways. I truly hope that the front row will be reserved for the contest winners and I believe that's what Adam would want, too. And celebrate I will!

The VIP winners of the ATT Live Proud contest received (from the ATT website): So winning was not just about a concert and the winners could be from anywhere in the US. It will in no way diminish these winners multi-faceted experience that other people from within the KIIS viewing area are also allowed to attend the concert. These people are just locationally lucky and those locationally lucky individuals who were not lucky enough to win the total experience can still go to the concert. I'm jealous. Groupies, really? Exactly. The Live Proud contest was flying 20 people (10 winners and their guests) to the concert, giving them rooms in LA and they get a M&Gs. Believe me, when I first saw the link tweeted by KIIS, I thought it would be same drill as usual – we'd play their little games for hours on end and then not stand a chance. When those 15 people won for MYFM, we were competing against people who had literally a million or more points to buy chances at 1,000 points apiece. It was like playing the Power Ball. I was settled in to play trivia for days on end with only the slightest hope that I might win by next Tuesday and suddenly, after an hour or so of trying, I ended up on a different screen that only allowed one entry. I plugged my points in there and a few minutes later got an email saying I won four tickets. WHAT???? I thought it was a glitch in the system at first. I DMed a few SoCal peeps and thought for sure they'd change it back to the "bid 500 points for a one-in-a-million chance drawing ..." thing. But it didn't. Almost everyone I've talked to with a SoCal IP address has gotten the tickets instantly. BTW I will happily stand in back and would even hoist a lgbt kid on my shoulders so they could see better if I didn't think I'd collapse like a house of cards and end up in traction. SoCal peeps, like NY peeps, do have a lot of advantages, but M&Gs are not one of them. This is a huge misconception by many. Fact is, Adam has NEVER done a M&G in the L.A. area. The fan club M&G in San Diego Tuesday will be the first for this entire region. (A HUGE region.) (He has done I think one at a SD radio station, IIRC and possibly during the Idol tour, but those were invite-only.) I have had the good fortune to go to DIVAS and Kimmel and even drove to SF for GLAAD but have only met Adam once – at an M&G in Hawaii during GNT. Other than that, I've never have even gotten close enough for an autograph or to converse with him in any way. Patti will be meeting him for the first time ever on Tuesday. We have never been in front row at any of his shows or events. Yes, during GNT there were certain people (including a contingent from SoCal) who did a ton of M&Gs. The two main people who did that have since abandoned Adam to stan other people *cough*Monte*cough*, so they are no longer a factor either. So PEACE!! Hi! SusieFierce!! Miss your posts! Thanks for the information.

Regarding the so-called private event. For me it is the way it was originally promoted and how it has changed that I find disturbing. And if there are SO MANY TICKETS left, but there were losers that did not win tickets, well that makes absolutely no sense to me. At the end of the day it does not really matter and actually fits the meme of "nothing is as it seems". My gut feel is that the contest did not get the anticipated response. Adam was still tweeting for entries yesterday. So like Susie and mys*&@^#r suggested the best way to ensure a crowd was to open it up to the reliable glamberts. Good thing Adam has his groupies. The contest was always for only 10 winners and one guest. They are getting airfare and hotel and VIP treatment. Obviously, for an organization that relies on donations, to do this for more people would be kind of crazy. My opinion, of course.

Agree more people would be better for Trevor Project's potential donations. I was wondering about the size of the new venue for this concert? I am guessing a couple of hundred, but really have no clue.
