What a song ... This made me laugh, Adam is our lollipop with swaying hips. Ah, you just sent me on a sentimental journey with that video. My dad's cousin was a member of the Chordettes in their later years. She also toured with them earlier when one of the members quit touring. She's the one on the far left.

Re the fall...the slip and slide was deliberate I am sure but it looked like the legs up was a deliberate afterthought! jmho Also jmho, I think this whole breakup has been very hard on him but he hides fairly well. His eyes have not looked happy for some time and i think the time in NYC, with friends and away from reminders, has been 'just what the doctor ordered'. He was just plain ready to have a good time...and the jet lag combined with extraordinary heat/humidity just blasted all the remnants of sadness right out of him and he looks like he just totally surrendered to the present in his very favorite place to be...on stage, performing. YEAH for us!! and him....

Question for everyone, theories welcome! As a Canadian stan, I don't get the opportunity to go to many Adam concerts; in fact I've only ever been to one show. And I don't tend to watch via livestreams (most of the time) so I live vicariously thru tweets and posts and pix and after-the-fact vids. And I can honestly say the Orlando show has garnered the most enthusiastic response I've seen in a long time. So, why this one? What was the special magic that made this one so stellar? The heat? The lack of costume changes and back up singers and dancers? The amazing varied crowd?? Why was adam so relaxed this time? What things synergistically came together here to create such an amazing show? My analytical mind wants to know. (Happy Canada Day! Off to the fireworks now!) I have no idea, but . . . When the people who had been waiting in the "pens" were allowed to go in to the concert area, the front middle filled, but there was still a LOT of space left. (Still hours before the show.). But I think people could walk into the area and find a spot at least in the back all through the concert ( not the front, of course), and people could and did watch and listen from the walkways. all around the concert area. (They still had better views than I did of Adam when I saw him for the first time at an American Idol concert). I remember at one point Adam said something like, "I know YOU guys want to hear me" (meaning the excited Glamberts up front), "but what about you guys in the back?" Song by song, he was building the crowd outside the concert area, building excitement, and that VOICE and his combination of SEXY and sweet and funny and goofy, was working its magic - and lots of those people didnt even know the songs I'd bet, you know, because they did not get on the radio that much except for WWFM, but it didnt matter, I think, because a lot knew HIM and that voice. I think some people might have felt, " Oh, this is cool - I got to ride Transformers, Rock-It, AND there's an Adam Lambert concert, too!? I win!" When Adam said what he did before OOL, a young man near me yelled "Amen!" There was lots of love and respect in that crowd for Adam and not just from people like me who were there only because of him. (Unrelated - Adam spent the night at the same hotel I did, evidently, and I did NOT run into him in the lobby and I did not get the chance to launch into my carefully thought out and rehearsed in my head 3-minute what-I-would-say-to-Adam-Lambert-if-I-ever-got-the-chance-speech. Sigh. )

Was the fall accidental or deliberate? As if the stage was a slip and slide!! MTE! He was soaked through with sweat and probably wished he had a slip and slide. Just gonna project my thoughts onto Adam. I think he spent nearly 2 weeks watching other people perform and couldn't wait to get back on his own stage, performing with his own band, singing his own songs to his own fans.
