A label source acknowledges that internally, enthusiasm was lacking for the sophomore effort, but that the Sony-owned company could get behind a covers collection so long as execs have input into such aspects as song selection and cover art."
Grrrrrrrrr.  A covers collection?? With the label making a lot of the decisions?? Don't Subo Adam!! "A rep for the singer tells THR, “Nothing has been determined yet,” but acknowledges that the idea of a concept album of songs from another era is just one of several currently being bandied about." An EP, maybe, if they have to, but I want the album to be original songs. I like Adam's songs! This idea bugs me more than most of the rumors that float around. peace&love Hhmm.. is this why Adam doesn't want to talk about his next album.. |

Does anyone know what kind of dog Adam's holding? Is it a Chihauhau? I saw this tweet: IanManbert glambertuk71 14m And sales of Chihuahuas suddenly increase across the world! :D Oh, man, I'm not looking at the dog... Adam has trimmed Melvin!!! What makes you guys think that if RCA cut him loose he would be picked up by another label immediately? i would be shocked if that happened. I am not hand wringing I'm not hand wringing either. If RCA cut him loose, DMG will go shopping around for labels that really want to work with Adam. See what happens to Katy Perry. |

Has Shirley Halperin been pretty accurate before? Did she ask Adam for a comment? Was she at the Trevor Project show? (I thought she was . . . )

why oh why does RCA not come out as more supportive? they certainly do appear to suck big time. I think RCA doesn't know how to handle a talent like Adam. They don't know how to package those talents and charisma. At this point they just care about cash flows. |

80s covers will attract middle age audience. period. The young are not interested in my observation. They need electronic music. The media is going to pick this up and I hope it will force Adam to say something.... IF he remains silent I will consider it a confirmation. Maybe he will do 80s covers with electronic music approach... who knows.. So.. if it's true that means he's going to do Pop & Rock Album... |

Coo.coo.ca.choo, you wondered if we would all flip over the idea if it was Adam's idea. I looked back at the article and it says:
"The Hollywood Reporter has gathered some potentially major intel on what could be the follow-up to 2012’s Trespassing. According to sources, Lambert’s label, RCA Records, is pushing for an all-covers album. Specifically from one highly influential decade: the 1980s."
Based on this, IF any of it is true (She does say POTENTIALLY major intel...), it is the label that is pushing for an all covers album.
Usually I just ignore rumors, but this one pushed my buttons. Now off to work out and get Shirley Halperin's CRAP (TM Mys*&@^#r) out of my head.
