Well, every morning I wake up and say to myself: No Adam lurking today on the forum, going to get some RL stuff done, damn it! Well here I am checking out the daily news... Ok caught up now so can to get "real" stuff done. Yeah, we'll see how that goes. And NoAngel, I agree with the Joan comments. Ok, and to lazy to look back but the comment about a sports team and seasons resonated with me too. I hope that while Adam is working on #2 I can get things I need to do taken care of, and be ready for the next season of Adam. Yes, keeping informed in the meantime by being part of the community here continues, but hopefully not as obsessive as when Adam is in full on promo mode. Also liking the idea of a fall album release because besides work, I garden and do outdoor stuff in the summer and would not be able to do my full-on fan mode internet support of the album launch if it happened in the middle of the summer. So the timeline sounds good. Off to let the dog out and well, get stuff done, damn it ??? ETA: Anyone happen to have handy a link to purchase the Japan version of the FYE CD. The one that includes Voodoo and the other additional tracks the US one doesn't have. I gave away all my US FYE and only have one of the FYE Japan, and the other day in the car it skipped. Think it is the car player, but I NEED a back-up just in case:-) Well maybe even two, one to keep in the shrink wrap...

The Hollywood Reporter: How the Stars Celebrated Their Grammy Wins, Noms11:23 AM 2/15/2011 by Shirley Halperin THR music editor Shirley Halperin ranks the exclusivity level of each party. www.hollywoodreporter.com/news/how-stars-celebrated-grammy-wins-99670excerpts: Usher at the Avalon (Thursday, Feb. 10) Exclusivity Scale: 6As R&B hitmaker Usher took the stage for an eight-song set, actor-singer Jamie Foxx reportedly got physical with a former manager and had to take it outside. Fortunately, the six-liter bottle of Belvedere vodka (strategically placed at the end of the red carpet, ‘natch) wasn’t used to knock anyone on the head. Also in attendance: Adam Lambert, Paris Hilton, Jenny McCarthy and Ryan Phillippe. ... Kings of Leon Party at Trousdale Exclusivity level: 9The Grammys’ best party was the one that had no guest list: just a secret password at the door and the promise of a good time for all by hosts Kings of Leon. Like last year, when they took over West Hollywood lounge Voyeur, the Followill boys did not disappoint on any level. Guests included the Black Keys, Bruno Mars, Juliette Lewis, Nick Swardson, Dierks Bentley and Miley Cyrus, who had her 18th birthday party at Trousdale and stayed until closing time. Tearing up the dance floor to the Bar Mitzvah classic “Shout” was Lady Antebellum’s Dave Haywood, still reveling in his band’s five Grammy wins earlier in the night, while seated in a banquette nearby, Adam Lambert, having changed from his red carpet get-up to a more casual black T-shirt and fingerless gloves combination, held court with three male pals and sang along to rock classics like “Shook Me All Night Long” and “Do You Love Me.” He began to make his exit soon after hearing “One Fine Day,” the perfect end-cap as it most certainly was.

Well, my 2 cents on the Joan thing: I hated it and found it offensive. And I don't particularly care if Adam would or wouldn't be offended; I don't base my opinions on what he thinks, LOL. I do get the "in-group, out-group" thing, and that gay men often refer to each other and themselves in the feminine. I also get that some women do, in reference to their close gay male friends. But the reality is, that referring to gay men as female is widely done by homophobic people and is nothing less than an insult, and is fully intended to be. I don't care if Joan is trying to be funny, or if she is liked by the gay community, or whatever. Because for me, here's the thing-- what might be perfectly okay in the context of a club or party or amongst friends is NOT okay on a TV show. How many viewers are "in" on the inside joke? Not that many, I'd bet. Most are just hearing a gay man being referred to as "she" and the other panelists chuckling (including the gay man, wtf) and it's just another of a million examples where put-downs of gay people is fine and dandy and funny as heck. Not okay. ITA and also find it offensive! I agree with every word! I just want Adam to get a fair shake. He looked more gorgeous than ever before, and that is saying something. He was eons beyond everyone else, and everyone there knew it. He looked both classy and rock star, and uber masculine. I just wanted a fair critique, whicj I've seen them give many times before. So to temper the compliments with lame, ridiculous jokes about him looking like a woman (huh?), for no other reason than that he is gay, just ruined the entire segment for me. And when the others laugh, I don't care about their opinions any longer.
