 Thanks to @jjonnamarika This makes me sad for every teenager who had to go through this unattractive period only to grow up beautiful. Even teenagers with braces and acne are loveable,I know this for a fact. |

musicislife - glad you found us, be sure and register your email address here, that's how most of us found this site after proforums crashed.
On Adam's 2nd album, MWP and musicislife both have great points. I am learning so much about Adam's thought process and some of his feelings that he is revealing in these interviews of late. I doubt that anyone here can really relate to the enormous challenge and pressure Adam has endured since he decided to try out for Idol. It has been a seriously wild crazy and probably very scary ride. He has tremendous inner strength to appear so "unruffled" calm and collected through it all. There are no telling what demons he has faced these last two years. I am beginning to wonder if Adam will feel the need or desire to be so flamboyant going forward. The Grammy nom has given him well deserved validation in the music industry, and the shout out by Clive Davis is a very big endorsement. Adam seems to be reflecting alot about this last year, what he has accomplished, what he has been through, and what he has learned.
Which makes his new ablum so exciting to think about. I don't think he is really sure at this point of the overall direction of it, other than he wants it to be real and honest. But everything he has said is thrilling. I don't see Adam ever getting totally away from his facination with glitter and glam, but the open honesty of songs like Broken Open and Aftermath may be the tip of the iceberg in revealing Adam's emotions. I think his statements about keeping the album in the same direction as WWFM and IIHY are indications that he wants to continue to make music that will be played on Top 40, of course he wants to have more hit records.
If I was Adam, I would rent a challet out in the french country-side with a kick ass music studio and take about a month to chill, reflect, meditate, and create.

I watched the video of Gaga on Leno from the Autostraddle site, and I see she came out carrying her 3 Grammys :  , wearing some black thing with a mask over her eyes, and the horny looking thingys on her shoulders and face she wore during the Grammys. She mentioned 'The House Of Gaga'. Did she'll incorporate herself and all her projects into this House Of Gaga that she referenced or is this just a term she is using to talk about herself and her 'little monsters'? She went into her, as she termed it, "birth of a new race" when talking about the egg. When asked about the Madonna song she went into I am the biggest Madonna lover etc. and the email thing from Madonna but never did give homage to Madonna's song or really answered the question. Interesting she didn't mention Whitney Houston who she so passionately, on Grammys night, said she drew her inspiration from as she wrote the song.Sorry...I'm not buying any of it.  AGREE!!! And I will go one step further and say all that Whitney Houston crap was nothing more than pandering to Houston's peers and the music execs and to get the spotlight off of the Madonna ripoff talk! I mean really, what about BTW is anything like a Whitney song or Whitney's voice? Nothing! That whole speech was so contrived and phony, it was ridiculous. |

Hello all, just delurking long enough to say Thanks, Q3, for creating yet another new home for us. Been watching all the lovely grammy-related news, appearances, and pics. Can't wait for the voice-oriented, personal album--more leather, yay! The grammy look is one of the best ever and he won rave reviews for that look--positive attention. No hard feelings about not winning this first time out. There'll be other Grammy nights, mark my words, and with some type of performance or presentation, too. :-) Go BB.
