I love Adam news, but I am always going to want to know who he is dating or fooling around with, or party he's attending. Can't help it. I like People magazine too. ...but that's news too I want to know that as well. the problem with the list is that the same person that does shipping might post news... so I have no idea how to separate those... I'm pretty new to twitter too, but if you want "just the facts ma'am" including any press on his personal life, you could follow @hooplamagnet on twitter, or join community.livejournal.com/hooplamagnet/ -- it posts all news from all legit sources including twitter, but w/o discussion. i.a. shipping is pretty much impossible to avoid on twitter and some other comms, and hard to tell from tinhatting when trying to figure out who to follow. Part of the joy for me of twitter is that it is highly irreverent and fun, it's not to be taken seriously. Serious tinhatters ruin the fun for me. Generally I'll follow someone who seems interesting or active in conversation w/ others I follow until they tweet something that I feel crosses the public/private boundary directly to Adam or anyone who has ever met him in real life, as I'm pretty sensitive about this. Also, I try not to use his full name or last name when discussing him amongst my feed unless I really want random people or him possibly searching and seeing my tweet. ETA: I know some people take umbrage at unfollows but I figure, them's the breaks, you unfollow when someone either spams you or is no longer discussing stuff you are interested in (or occasionally when something about their conversation is bothering you). It's like any other party where you move from group to group - no need to take it personally, it's all water cooler chatter.

Pigs flying in DC again today.....
Hi all!!! Just wanted to share a little Adam moment from this morning. Was in traffic on the way to work and listening to the Kane Show on Hot99.5 in DC (you know the dreaded Kane from Club Kane that we all loathe for his refusal to play adam). Anyway, they do have a fun and entertaining morning drive show. Every hour or so his co-host Sarah Fraser does celebrity gossip bit called "Sarah's Dirty", and i secretly always want them to give some scoop on Adam (but realize this is a pipe dream cause they never play him or talk about him. Like never).
Much to my delight, on the list this morning was a blt about how Adam had given up drunk tweeting (musta picked it up from some interview last week). I was floored. Not so much that they finally mentioned him (which was fantastic), but the fact that there was NO SNARK, and no idol reference, or gay reference. Just plain ole Adam Lambert. And then to top it off, Kane was like, "yeah i agree - I was drunk tweeting last night - bad idea" or something like that.
So, nothing earth shattering, but just breaking some barriers and he was included with the other celebs today - Tiger Woods, Gaga, and Britney - like he has always been there. I smiled all the way to work....

Since it is kind of slow here tonight, I am posting something I have been thinking about. I think part of Adam's new cleaner look may be strategy on his part. I think this may have been touched upon a few days ago, but only as it related to music. I believe he glammed down a little to draw in new fans (and that gorgeous grammy look will certainly do that), but I think he is also trying to show advertisers and hollywood that he can go against the stereotype that they have hung on him. As always, he is doing the unexpected and I think it just may win him that acting role he has been wanting. Just something else for us to ponder over in the long hours til we have new music. I agree. I think he is using the AI strategy of changing it up. Keep 'em guessing. AT least I hope so. I love all the looks and Adam versions.

UNFFF! *__* RT GrammyPierre Grammy Moment: With Idol Superstar and very gracious Adam Lambert. twitpic.com/40agluCan someone embed this? I've tried several times to open the file and I can't do it in either browser. Now I'm dying of curiosity. Enjoying the TV Guide thing for the most part ... haven't got to Adam yet, getting closer!!

Well, that is a tough one. And everyone has to go with their comfort level. Most people have shallow-end/deep-end personalities like they do here. You can have intense, philosophical discussions, or you can play a goofy game of Adam/Adam shipping, which was of course a complete joke. It was kind of fascinating to think of all his many incarnations and how funny it would be if they were actually different people who could date. I originally followed someone who was great with news, but she spammed almost relentlessly. I really don't follow any hardcore shippers, many joke, but they're not serious. I usually unfollow angsters because I have a tendency to internalize other people's emotions and they stress me out. Everyone has a different comfort level. The new Tweet Deck seems to have all kinds of bells and whistles; maybe you can look into that. I would say hang with it for awhile, then try to figure out who you're enjoying and who is bugging you. You may find you get more out of it then just news or maybe you'll decide it's not your thing. Sometimes it takes a little while to figure out what's working for you. ya. thank you SusieF. I need to play with Twitterdeck a bit... I have it but so far - the regular twitter was easier for me... I also don't want to unfollow people, as it seems to me that it might upset them...we'll see... the main thing is to have some news coming Okay, I think I see what's going on here. SusieFierce, what Nica is trying to say is that your OTT cray behavior on Twitter is slowly driving her BSC, and usually she can put up with it, but today when you went nutz shipping RoF!Adam with MadWorld!Adam it was Just. Too. Much. But Nica is too nice to say so, and she's skerred that if she unfollows you, you will have a massive public freakout the likes of which has never been seen in the fandom. Is that about right? You're welcome... 8-)

Especially that he is going in the VOICE direction - you have no idea how thrilled I am! I feel like he heard us, or may be he realised that the VOICE is HIM and the VOICE is what sets him apart from the general Pop vocal desert...he is the OASIS (I talked myself into silliness here :-[) hahaha, if he progresses this way - in five years or so - we'll have him in doing classical stuff ... I will not survive that probably.... . Hey, it could happen. Classical training is his roots. We grow, we evolve, we take the prodigal son route, but we often return to where we started. Plus, we know that Adam gets bored easily and loves new challenges, love to change it up, loves to surprise us. I can imagine a future time when Adam starts feeling the limitations of doing top 40 radio friendly, simple pop. (Please don't stone me and think I am criticizing it. It is wildly popular and has a legitimate place in entertainment.) While classical is not his taste in music, it is the ultimate vocal challenge in some ways. And Adam would love the irony of a glam rocker kicking ass with some classical vocals. We might have to get him a little high, a little drunk, and dare him to show the world what he can do. Tell him it would be the ultimate "fuck you" to the naysayers who have dismissed him and marginalized him as gay, idol, glamboyant fluff. But, given the right set of circumstances, it COULD happen. Just sayin'. Nica and I will hold our own prayer vigils for that "someday."
