I am looking forward to seeing Adam ACT. I am hoping, and suspecting he will surprise us. We've all seen the YT of Wicked where Adam has several lines before he starts to sing. Just not natural. BUT, if you have watched the entire show on YT, he does a convincing job in other scenes. He did fine on VH1. And that promo for the TV conversion to digital that he did back in 2009? He was funny! His drama coaches in high school and in the youth theater group all said he was very talented. Adam himself claims not to be that good an actor. But when asked if he was a better actor or dancer, he said "actor." And we all know how well he can dance and move. And like someone else said, knowing Adam, he has probably been getting acting coaching in prep for his gig. I am expecting to love his acting on Glee. Can't wait. (Also hoping that Adam starts filming Glee Monday, and that the role requires him to be clean shaven. Buh-bye, Melvin. Pleez.)

okay i'll take up the slack of any uncertainty. I haven't been this excited in a long time. i'll admit to watching glee in a love/hate manner. (i hate much of the song choices and auto tune but it has moments of brilliance w/the origianl characters) Most of all, this could be huge for adam IF he does well on screen - doesn't matter that the show is fading- it still has Lea Michelle, Chris Colfer and Naya Rivera (forgive spellings). (There have been hysterical guest arcs with NPH, Gwyneth Paltrow, Kristin chenoweth (and a great one ep w/Matt Bomer). My early wishlist is: - First, please please let his character be part of the New York/NYADA storyline (or Santana's NY storyline - she'll prob start a band or such while Rachel was trying out for Funny Girl revival) Just don't send him to Lima Ohio - though he would be funny with Coach Sue (Jane Lynch) but no one watches for that part anymore as the new kids haven't caught on w/audience at all. - Following up above - if he's part of the Rachel B'way storyline - great! And maybe he could sing something with Idina Menzel (Rachel's mother on the show) - Would have put this higher. Though I don't want Adam on B'way now, I am a big fan and loved Jonathan Groff on the show as Jesse St James. (I don't think the young watchers of Glee got how funny a parody his character was.) Jonathan and Adam doing something together would make me smile. (If you are a fan and haven't seen Jonathan's bits on you tube in things like the Miscast shows or his duet w Jeremy Jordan - pls check them out.) - Finally, I love you like air Adam but please please have been seeing an acting coach:) Whether you like the show or not - these are actually strong actors and it shows when someone isn't. Congrats Adam - clearly he's excited and I'm happy for him. (If you think you're annoyed about having to watch - now Neil will have to watch Glee lol) ysabelle, I think Adam will have his acting coach, and I think he'll be fine. The acting is generally great on Glee, but Cory Monteith (is he still in rehab?) is a lousy actor with about as many facial expressions as Kristen Stewart = ZERO. And he's a worse singer, too. I could never figure out why he was even on the show, except he's tall and can pretend to be a football player. But when Adam gets a chance to open his mouth and SING, then nobody will care if he can act because everyone will be BLINDED AND DED and fainting all over the place.

before i return to intermittent lurk (and ordering a new dvr) just want to say:
- always loved lea michele's adam love. really hope she gets her wish...
Lea Michele@msleamichele2h Omg so excited that @adamlambert is going to be on #Glee this season! I hope he's with me in NYC! #GleeSeason5
- regarding the divided season, since R Murphy said Adam was joining them in fall, i think that means he's joining some time in the first arc. i doubt they've nailed down second arc so i wonder if it's an open option for adam's character to continue if well received. if so, the hiatus would still be long enough for recording or another project.
- i'm sure it's just rumor as mentioned earlier and i would rather see Adam have an unrelated to anyone role but Matt Bomer did entertainingly play Blaine's older brother - Cooper Anderson. A middle Anderson brother would always be welcome:)
i don't have gifs but still very excited both about adam and that potential gorgeous fan base just waiting to be scooped up.

And about Adam's singing I also agree but I think his great vocals won't surprise many. But if, in addition to singing, he turns in a solid acting performance - whether dramatic or ott comic like NPH or J. Groff or somewhere in between then it opens up even more doors and increases his visibility. I too believe he can do it - esp since it's a well funded/well-directed show that has time to coach and support new cast/guest stars. I see this as nothing but great!

Speaking of interviews, does anyone remember a comment that Neil made re Adam always singing over the songs that were playing on the radio. I think he said something like it annoyed him but that Adam always sang it better. I looked through THS and BTM and it wasn't there. Was it an AI interview? I just can't place it now. Hi. The comment you are referring to came from Neil's blog. Back in late 2008 Neil started blogging, and he wrote a bit about his relationship with Adam. Neil continued blogging for a while, but then I think he stopped. The website address was www.negativeneil.com. I just checked the site and got a message that it is under maintenance. Maybe someone saved Neil's blog posts? ETA: Found a website with the posts from Neil's old blog: adam-lambert.org/neil-lambert-adam-lamberts-brother/#sthash.w4IvfgfP.dpbsClick on the link and page down to the entry for Jan. 5, 2009. You'll see the comment re: Adam singing along to the radio. A mind like a steel trap! I forgot all about Neil's blog. Thanks!
