Adam on Glee, WHEEEEEEEEEEEEEE! Guess I won't cancel the cable after all And seoulmate, I'm touched that you noticed my absence. I've been a bad bad fan, keeping up mainly by Adam's tweets and of course via regular updates from WacoScorpio (aka BlackAndYellowMom, who told me to take a look at p.3 of today's thread). Have finally bit off more than I can chew and have been dropping balls like a drunken juggler.

ShalomLife @shalomlife Adam Lambert Officially Joins ‘Glee’ Cast goo.gl/zovwh Adam Lambert Officially Joins ‘Glee’ CastRyan Murphy made the announcement on Wednesday evening via Twitter By: Ashley Baylen Published: July 11th, 2013 in Culture » TV » News Adam Lambert Officially Joins ‘Glee’ Cast
In what is possibly set to be the most exciting news for Glamberts this year, ‘Glee’ creator Ryan Murphy has announced that the former ‘American Idol’ contestant has joined the cast for next season. On Wednesday night, Murphy took to Twitter for the official announcement, writing “I am thrilled to announce that the super talented Adam Lambert is joining the cast of Glee this fall.” Adam Lambert and ‘Glee’ fans alike enthusiastically responded by retweeting several thousand times. Lambert himself responded with a short message saying “I’m so excited!! ” Rumors have been circulating about Lambert making an appearance on the show ever since the musical dramedy premiered, but especially after one of the shows stars Lea Michele (Rachel Berry) shared her love for the ‘Trespassing’ singer. "I want to sing with Adam Lambert so badly! I think he is so incredibly talented. He's a vocal freak. It's like working out: If you want to work out well, then you want to train with the best…that's how I feel about Adam Lambert. That's my metaphor," Michele told Yahoo! In a 2009 interview. Excited that her dreams have become a reality, Michele tweeted “Omg so excited that @adamlambert is going to be on #Glee this season! I hope he's with me in NYC! #GleeSeason5” in response to the news. Lambert’s specific role has not been described yet, but one thing is for sure… ‘Glee’ will have a whole new (and large) fan base this fall.

Fuse TV @fusetv .@adamlambert is joining the cast of @gleeonfox: on.fuse.tv/155w4DwWednesday night on Twitter, TV writer/director/producer Ryan Murphy announced that Adam Lambert is headed to Glee. Which is 1) Awesome and 2) Strange to realize this hasn't already happened. "I am thrilled to announce that the super talented Adam Lambert is joining the cast of Glee this fall," Murphy tweeted. Although Lambert or Fox have yet to comment on the news and the series creator didn't offer any further information, this is awesome news for Gleeks and Glamberts alike. Whether Lambert is joining as a series regular or a one-time guest remains to be seen, but it's safe to say the pop star—who has extensive stage acting experience—will own the show the same way he commanded the stage on American Idol. And his presence should be a much-needed boost to the show, which recently saw the departure of five series regulars who had been with Glee from the start (the characters of Brittany, Quinn, Mercedes, Puck and Mike are now gone). Most importantly, Lambert's addition to Glee will finally give the series the opportunity to feature a storyline touching on homosexuality. Ha! Did anyone else read that last line? Written with tongue firmly implanted in cheek.

I haven't "squeed" yet. I just finished reading through everything. I watched the first couple seasons but now barely know what is going on as I lost interest. I guess I might relax a bit this summer by catching up online with my Glee viewing. If Adam were part of the New York story, he could be a Broadway star and sing a few Broadway classics along with the usual Glee pop fare. That might make a few people on Atop (CASSIE :D) happy. Here's my latest guess about what he was doing recently in NYC: taking acting lesson with someone great. We only know about what he did at night and have speculated that he had meetings, writing sessions, etc. I'm so excited that we will get some cast recordings to buy on iTunes. That will keep my ears busy while we wait for A3.BUT I DON'T LIKE TO DANCE! I'm one of those fans (and I think I can call myself an intense fan after 4 years) that would rather sit in the front row of the balcony. I took a friend to GlamNation and that is what we both did. She was almost motionless. Later I found out she was "mesmerized". But neither of us reacted with movement. I know, some of you will think that is the sign of a disturbed person. I just don't dance, and I don't even clap along with music unless I'm at a concert and everyone else is (don't want to seem impolite). I become internally joyful. Hmmmm. Adam singing great Broadway tunes. Let me think. Meh, I guess that would kinda be okay. Just kidding! I would be in heaven! Is it September yet? And, I also like to sit and absorb a concert or performance. You are not alone, and not disturbed. I think it is because I don't want to miss a note, don't want a single distraction. Yup,, mesmerized is the word.
