There is a rumor that Shirley picked up a joke someone associated with Adam was making related to Queen + GLEE news. I still can't figure out the Queen news. Queen watchers tell me that QUEENBERT will be reunited on TV for something special.
Some are guessing the EMAs which are in November 2013 but there is nothing to connect it to that event except the calendar.

A few questions. Wouldn't joining the cast mean "for the season"? Has any person been a guest star or done a few cameos been announced as a cast member? Has Ryan Murphy ever tweeted about a cast member or guest before? If he is a cast member, isn't he the first person who is already recognizable? I didn't "know" any of the original or current cast members before. How does the money he will be making compare with what he would be making as a judge on Idol? I don't know anything about most of your questions, but: - Glee has a history of bringing on famous people for some short-lived characters. But joining the cast seems like more than that to me.
- Matthew Morrison (Mr. Schuester, the teacher) was already established on Broadway. My sister, who keeps up that that sort of thing, told me that during Glee's first season. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Matthew_Morrison

Maybe it will be a story line about how this young boy was a total theater kid who struggled but decided to change his life and became a pop star. After huge international success, he comes back to the high school to mentor other starry-eyed theater kids. One of the perks was that the kids got to go backstage at concerts when the pop star's third album was released.
Maybe his new single will be released on Glee! I like it.
