The speculation about Adam doing both Glee AND American Idol reminded me of when Adam mentored AI and there were at least 5 Glee cast members (that I could see) in the row behind him: www.youtube.com/watch?v=ST1v8OTSNVcSo much coincidence. He had concerts in West coast Canada the nights before then flew directly to Vegas... and he had planned to go see Muse in Vegas that night but he got migraine so he had to cancel it... I'm pretty sure that long days from concert, the flights.. gave him headache that day but still he smiles and did his job outstandingly. Can you imagine??

Adam would be the best judge the show could get. He has everything a judge needs. I love Idol. I want good judging back! Plus, the world, getting to see his true personality, would be full of nothing but WIN! I'm wondering whether it's possible that Glee already filmed Adam while he was in NY attending all of those plays. ETAOh gee Glee, that might mean Melvin stays for awhile. They tape Glee (both the NY and the Ohio parts) in Los Angeles, not NY or Ohio. The have not taped Adam's segment(s) yet. I bet Melvin-stache goes before they tape. ** As far as I can tell Idol is not an option. Per Adam, FOX had not approached Adam or his reps about judging Idol -- even before the management shake up when they were close to signing JHud and that whole Idol alum idea was floating around. It appears that the idea is on ice or scrapped because nothing more has happened with JHud. So there is no reason to think this was a real possibility. Setting that aside, I think GLEE accomplishes everything that Adam could have gotten from Idol, and a bit more. I think it is the better place for him to be. >> I am assuming Adam has a recurring role on GLEE with a minimum of 3 shows -- perhaps the whole first segment Fall 2013. If GLEE is a one show guest spot, then I think doing Idol (if he gets the chance) would be great. In the past a GLEE guest spot has not been referred to as joining the cast -- and has not had this kind of existing cast twitter response. So I think this is a cast spot not a guest, 1 show deal.
GLEE - Big new audience. Adam gets to act, sing and dance -- it expands his career possibilities. There are 6 to 8 million viewers ratings are declining slowly but not a dramatic fall. There is no one critical of this casting choice, the GLEE cast performs so Adam will be performing, GLEE does current music, the guest cast get to do their own music, the show has great demos for Adam and a big loyal audience. He will still get to perform on Idol when he has something to promote. GLEE had two albums in the annual Top 200 last year, performances sell on iTunes after the show. IDOL - The audience knows him. Adam gets to show he in an interesting personality and knows music -- good for keeping him in the public eye but does not expand his career possibilities. There 9 to 14 million viewers, but he will be primarily associated Idol forever -- and 2014 ratings could be far lower than 2013. There will be some people and some press and bloggers who will criticize the choice of Adam as a judge -- and that criticism will not be good for Adam (not successful enough yet, too early in his career, etc). From the research I have seen (2008) Idol audience mostly buys country and rock (alt rock, soft rock, guitar rock, classic rock) music, not current pop so not a good fit for Adam. I think at least 30% of Idol's current audience probably likes country music. Idol performances in 2013 did not generate big sales lifts. >> No matter what happens we know he will be invited back to Idol for a big show.A: GLEE Fall Season + IDOL Performance - makes sense to me for Adam. Expand his audience + retain Idol fans. Change his bio from Singer-Songwriter to Singer-Songwriter-Actor B: GLEE + IDOL Judging - limits the time he can spend on his music and touring. Change his bio from Singer-Songwriter to Singer-Songwriter-Reality TV Personality. I prefer A.
>> My dream scenario -- Fall season of GLEE. Adam Levine has to drop out of Spring Voice season, The Voice picks our Adam as a coach. We get Adam as a personality and he is on a show where the coaches perform every week and he reaches a new younger music buying audience (compared to Idol).

If Adam is going to get a lot of air time or appear quite regularly in Glee... he needs to take that advantage and releasing his single in the Fall as well... AND ... if 2013 is his year and he also gets the Idol gigs... then he needs to finish & release his album by May of 2014, so he can gets the full impact of all the publicity he gets.

Brad Bessey @bradbessey.@konaflower Well..I'm picturing an overall @foxtv deal fir @adamlambert that includes @gleeonfox & @americanidol (my guess, not confirmed)
"This guy" happens to be a TV producer! and he loves Adam.. and he knows what Adam can do for the ratings.. LOL

a quick question. Does anyone think that being on Glee would preclude him from appearing on Pretty Little Liars? Don't think a mag with his photo on front was left on A's table by accident do you? #itsadamsfault that I now wait excitedly for each weeks PLL. sigh...

The Lambrits @lambritsuk 6m Adam Lambert Calls On Parents To Support Their LGBT Children www.ontopmag.com/article.aspx?id=15814&MediaType=1&Category=22#.UeBxcR0YvpR.twitter … via @ontopmag Singer Adam Lambert says it's “not that hard” for parents to embrace their LGBT children. Lambert, 31, was asked to comment on his role as an openly gay celebrity after performing at AT&T's Live Proud event to benefit The Trevor Project at the Playhouse in Hollywood. “That's been my mission this whole time, to encourage people to be who they are,” Lambert told gay glossy The Advocate. “Don't mimic me. I'm not your example. I'm only trying to get people to do what they want.” When asked what he would say to the unsupportive parents of LGBT children, Lambert said: “I think a lot of older generation parents believe that the life of a LGBT person is going to be really hard and fraught with all this turmoil. Well, most of that turmoil comes from a family rejecting them, so the first step is a family embracing a person for who they are. And that's not that hard. You look around major cities around the country, it's not hard. There's great community, great support system, and there's a lot of gay kids out there. It's not that difficult.”

The Lambrits @lambritsuk 2m RT @pinkflush1: Matthew Morrison Is Excited About Adam Lambert On “Glee,” Wants To Duet On Coldplay bit.ly/14OnfiF Millions of Glamberts aren’t the only ones excited about pop star Adam Lambert’s upcoming role on the Fox hit Glee, so is series regular Matthew Morrison. The singer-actor, who’s portrayed teacher Will Schuester since the musical-comedy premiered in 2009, said he was unaware of the former American Idol contestant’s planned appearance until informed by a reporter from Broadway .com. “Wow,” he exclaimed. “That’s cool news!” Morrison hopes the two performers will duet, as he did with past guest star Neil Patrick Harris and already has suggestions for songs they could sing. “Coldplay would be really fun,” he offered. “It’s not much of a rock-out song, but ‘Paradise’ or ‘Viva La Vida.’” We have a feeling Lambert would prefer something by Queen. What do you think of this post?
