On these anniversaries of the legendary QAL shows, I am pausing to think how I would have felt yesterday and today if the celebration of that magnificent run of concerts did not coincide with the Glee announcement - an incredibly major step forward in Adam's career.
I find myself so unbelievably grateful that the timing was what it was. Although we all totally believe in Adam and his destiny as a titanic force in the industry and also in a generational sense, I think my inner child would be saying but........what's next? Where did this all lead? I see an empty stretch of time not filled on a calendar that should be jammed full. I feel unease about the direction, timing and acceptance of A3. I hear voices like my friends in San Diego saying, what ever happened with Adam? I never hear him on the radio? I think about people like the virgins I danced with in SD that didn't even know he had a second album or anything about Queen or ANYTHING!
So as I watch that almost mythical interaction of Adam, the audience and especially Brian over these few days , my mind might have gone to the place of, "here is the top of this mountain - you weren't there to share it. Where and when is the next mountain peak?" I have already learned my lesson about regret - and I am definitely not one to dwell on regrets. I now know to trust the voice that tells me - go for this, it is history. I didn't listen. I found reasons not to go. I won't do that again.
But instead, with the backdrop of this unbelievable opening on an iconic made to order primetime TV show and even more unbelievable response from the whole world press and music community, I watch the Queen shows again with happy tears pouring down my cheeks rather than bittersweet ones. I rejoice in what will be the inevitable outcome of this endeavor. I squee at the thought of seeing him weave his magic for this country and the world with the enormous exposure. And, I ask again for the millionth time, "what is this relationship with this boy? What is this relationship with all of you? It is utterly unexplainable and utterly precious.

YAY, seeing the fabulous news about Adam joining the cast of Glee after I woke up yestarday was just amazing - the best morning in ages.
Of course I've been searching Czech and Slovak media since then trying to find articles about the awesome news.
It’s pretty annoying, but I haven’t find any article in Czech media yet. I found a few articles on Slovak websites though: Spevák Adam Lambert si zahrá v seriáli Glee
"Americký spevák Adam Lambert sa ukáže v piatej sezóne populárneho seriálu Glee (2009). Oznámil to spolutvorca šou Ryan Murphy na sociálnej a mikroblogovacej...." I translated it (not perfect, but I did my best ) ' American singer Adam Lambert will appear on the fifth season of the popular TV series Glee (2009). This was announced by show co-creator Ryan Murphy on the social network Twitter.
"I am thrilled to announce that the super talented Adam Lambert is joining the cast of Glee this fall.” he said. It's not yet known which character Adam will be playing or how many episodes he will appear in.
News about the apeearance the finalist of eighth series American Idol pleased one of the stars of Glee Lea Michele. "I’m excited that Adam Lambert is going to be on Glee this season! I hope he's with me in NYC, “ she wrote on Twitter. The fifth series will begin airing in September.
The 31-year-old Adam Lambert has two studio albums under his belt - For Your Entertainment (2009) and Trespassing (2012). The fisrt one was #3 at on Billboard 200 and the second one even topped the chart.
His biggest hit is single Whataya Want From Me. In November 2011 he performed with legendary rock band Queen at MTV Europe Music Awards.
He was supposed to perform with guitarist Brian Mayom and drummer Roger Taylor at the British edition of the Sonisphere Festival in July 2012, but the event was canceled due to lack of funding.' Alas, they didn’t mention QueenBert succesful concerts in July 2012. Anyway, at least they got their info about the two albums and Adam joining Glee right. Glad for it. More articles in Sk media (they all are basically the same, just different media): spravy.pozri.sk/clanok/Spevak-Adam-Lambert-si-zahra-v-seriali-Glee/213983aktualne.atlas.sk/spevak-adam-lambert-si-zahra-v-seriali-glee/showbizz/hudba/www.webnoviny.sk/kultura/spevak-adam-lambert-si-zahra-v-serial/701556-clanok.htmlwww.finance.sk/spravy/finance/124047-spevak-adam-lambert-si-zahra-v-seriali-glee/www.kysucky-infoexpres.sk/701556-spevak-adam-lambert-si-zahra-v-seriali-glee.html

shimoli710, thanks for the translation. Looks well done to me (as if I would know). Too bad about their miss on the QAL concerts. Maybe they used Rolling Stone as their source.

Personally, I am very happy about the Glee news and think he will get much more respect and more of the superstar treatment with this. AI, it would be more of an Alum treatment and distancing himself from AI at this point may be a good thing on the one hand, but yes, it would open him up to even more audience on the other. I mostly was commenting that there could be a shred of possibility in that regard. Will be interesting to see how the whole thing unfolds. Bottom line for me... I hope/want A3 and New Adam music, and whatever the promo/TV/etc he is involved in to get A3 the exposure to be successful will be OK with me. That is assuming A3 will come out in time to capitalize on the exposure in a timely manner:-) Adam would be the best judge the show could get. He has everything a judge needs. I love Idol. I want good judging back! Plus, the world, getting to see his true personality, would be full of nothing but WIN! I'm wondering whether it's possible that Glee already filmed Adam while he was in NY attending all of those plays. ETAOh gee Glee, that might mean Melvin stays for awhile.
