How does the tweet from Brian May's official website fit into all of this? Was it just a professional courtesy to help spread the news (I doubt it)? What is the secret meaning or clue to this? Is it part of the plan? BrianMayCom @brianmaycom 13h "My heart is simply not in doing a covers album." @adamlambert Walks Away from RCA (Exclusive) j.mp/18eJnaS via @thr Probably not much. Brian May's Official Website is extremely autonomous and has little input from Brian apart from his soapbox. Even if it was Brian himself on his twitter it would more likely be exactly that professional courtesy and a show of support.

I can't see Adam at Cherry Tree but if that happened, he would be on the same label as Tokio Hotel in the US. Bill Kaulitz would accuse Adam of following him. Again. New and upcoming artist - not sure that really fits Adam. He is obviously not new and he is pretty much regarding as a star. But I remember RCA yakking about seeing him as a developing artist (and then of course choking his development!) Remember their so called long term plan?

Translation: RT @alambertfrance @adamlambert This French article is simply AWESOME! Via @metronews ~ tinyurl.com/ptvj5ncTranslation: Our singers should take a leaf. At a time when Sophie-Tith, the winner of "American Idol" and Olympus, the finalist of "The Voice 2", prefer to publish cover albums rather than original songs, their American cousin, the flamboyant Adam Lambert, chose to be different. The young rock singer, a finalist in the talent show "American Idol" in 2009, has just slammed his label, RCA's, door, annoyed at having been offered to record an album consisting of new (cover) versions of 1980s tunes, while working on original songs. His label will not be the last word - In the information revealed earlier this week by a reporter from the Hollywood Reporter, it was confirmed by Adam Lambert in person, by mail. "...the label is 'pushing for an (80's) covers album,' and feels that this is the only kind of release they are prepared to support. While there are lots of great songs from that decade, my heart is simply not in doing a covers album." Adam Lambert, 31, then said he prefers to say bye bye to RCA, a subsidiary of Sony Music, after two successful albums. The first, For your Entertainment, has sold over 4 million copies worldwide. Released last year, his successor, Trespassing, went straight to the top spot of the U.S. charts. Not enough for the label? A boy who owns - Ardent supporter of the LGBT cause, Adam Lambert is one of the few singers of his generation to fully own his homosexuality, a franchise that has already earned him several awards. After fulfilling one of his dreams by playing with Queen, he will soon have a role in Season 5 of Glee. Thank you Talon! Considering Adam posted the Queen pic today I wondered if it all tied in someway.

He could do that with an indie deal + UMG distribution. He could do it with a deal in some divisions of UMG. And he could do it with a different division of Sony or indie deal + UMG distribution. There is also one indie label that has global distribution. I would be happy with it being Island Def Jam Music Group and get him back in Barry Weiss' world. I do not want him in Interscope because I know artist who have had huge battles with them over charges.

Thanks, Q3, for the explanation of the contract. My head is spinning with all the work involved. Thank goodness Adam has a team that can help him with this.

I am amazed that so far not a single news source has twisted this to the negative that Adam got dropped. Adam is coming out a winner! I really sense from the tone of the media on this news and Glee that Adam is well liked by the media. Yeah!
