Today I was talking with a male friend about Rock and Roll and what that might mean for Adam's new album. I played him Runnin which he had not heard and he promptly said it was his favorite Adam song. He said he could connect emotionally with the lower register. He said it connected to the part of him that loves the Gladiator movie. Now, this is HIGH praise!!!! I don't know if Runnin is rock and roll in today's world or not. However, the songs that have been listed as Adam's "most rock" songs are some of my favorite and that makes A3 super exciting (not like it wasn't already!!!!)

The EMA host slot makes tons of sense. With that photo, I am on board with this rumor. Ok, takes me a while. Can someone in simple pre-school terms tell me what Adam's red-light tweet, picture thing mean - un-encryption wanted, LOL

This is what I think: The London show had 3 major parts. The middle part included acoustic guitars, drum battles, Dragon Attack (B-side only fans knew) etc. And barely any Adam in it. So I suspect most of that would be dropped. Then there is the rock opening which may or may not be part of a radio festival (but I hope it would be) - UP and WWTLF will probably stay. In some versions of the show SBTL was also in the first part. And I love DSMN, but I am not sure it would be used. And then the 3rd part is pretty much what IHR needs - the 80s Queen songs, AOBTD, Radio GaGa, IWTBF etc. And of course TSMGO, BoRap,WWRY+WATC. So I hope for all the London QAL highlights where Adam was involved, minus the filler and the more obscure songs. LONDON 3 SETLIST 01. Flash intro? 02. Seven Seas Of Rhye? 03. Keep Yourself Alive? 04. WWRY Fast? 05. Fat Bottom Girls 06. Don’t Stop Me Now - DSMN ? 07. Under Pressure - UP08. I Want It All? 09. Somebody To Love - SBTL10. Who Wants To Live Forever - WWTLF11. It’s A Kind Of Magic (Roger) 12. Days Of Our Lives (Roger) 13. You're My Best Friend 14. Love Of My Life (Brian) 15. ‘39 16. Dragon Attack 17. Drum Battle - Gtr Solo 18. I Want To Break Free - IWTBF19. Another One Bites The Dust - AOBTD20. Radio GaGa21. Crazy Little Thing Called Love 22. The Show Must Go On - TSMGO23. Bohemian Rhapsody - Bo Rap24. Tie Your Mother Down (Brian) 25. We Will Rock You - WWRY26. We Are The Champions - WATCI've gone over these songs more times than I can count, trying to put the Q-Adam concert playlists in order. I still can't remember the songs by just looking at those initials. Did I get all of the songs you think they'll probably include? I think you have to include CLTCL as it's one of the two No1 singles Queen had in the USA. The other No 1 was AOBTD. www.queenpedia.com/index.php?title=USA_Chart_Positions

My DH calls Runnin' the pirate song, LOL. It took over CLYG as my all time favorite Adam track.

I am reminded of Elizabeth Gilbert's (Eat Pray Love author) TED talk on creativity. Creative minds and spirits seem to be more sensitive and in danger than others... www.ted.com/talks/elizabeth_gilbert_on_genius.html

I am also confused at what they are calling rock now. Seems to me, that a group like Mumford & Son is reminiscent of folk music of yore. If Can't Let You Go. Runnin' and Aftermath are rock, I love this direction because all these songs absolutely let his vocals shine. IMO, which is admittedly uneducated musically, pop is not the best genre to spotlight vocals. Rock seems made for the power and range that is in Adam's voice. I think we are in for a huge treat. Excited and can't wait.
Wanted to add that I do love Adam's pop songs, and Trespassing was the favorite album I've bought in years.
