I'm still trying to process this information about the rock direction. I've never been a fan of rock music like so many here are, unlike many of you Sleepwalker was a least favorite song. I love the funk from Adam (Shady!) but I also love the pop, ballads hell most everything he sings.
I don't think Strut and SFW were all that popular of songs on tour, or maybe that's just me? I did like both of those, just weren't my favs. However, I will say that Music Again was one of my top 3 favorites on FYE and I'm excited about more music like that - and I'm encouraged that he presumably worked with Justin Hawkins again!
I've also recently gotten interested in the band: fun. (going to see them on tour) and I think they might be considered pop/rock? I think - anyway Runnin' wasn't a huge favorite of mine but I do love his lower register.
Long winded way of saying I'm intrigued and will probably love what Adam comes up with - EXCITE!

Gelly @14gelly 24s Queen and Adam Lambert Still Performing Tour Dates Together | mxdwn.com News www.mxdwn.com/2013/07/16/news/queen-and-adam-lambert-still-performing-tour-dates-together/ … via @mxdwn It seems legends Queen and Adam Lambert will continue to headline shows on tour together. Adam Lambert has taken the place of Freddy Mercury and will continue to make an appearance as such in this years iHeartRadio Music Festival. After the cancellation of 2012’s Sonisphere UK Festival in which the duo were to headline, fans were so upset, Queen and Lambert announced additional London tour dates. Lambert ended his time with RCA Records in 2011 continuing to play live shows through 2012. He has now teamed up with Queen to head the iHeartRadio Music Festival with fellow musicians such as Justin Timberlake, Bruno Mars, Katy Perry, Ke$ha and more! The Las Vegas Festival will run from September 20 to 21st at the MGM Grand Arena. Lambert will provide the lead vocals for Queen at the festival and possibly future shows to come. During its 3rd consecutive year, the iHeartRadio Music Festival has added a series of outside performances in the Village to include live performances by Miley Cyrus, the Wanted, the Band Perry, AWOLNATION, Krewella, and a special guest appearance by Ne-Yo. This set will take place on September 21st from 10a.m. to 4p.m. This festival seems like it will be one to remember! Tickets go on sale July 20th at 1p.m. EST.

Talon - thank you - I like your possible set list and ideas. Of course, I'm biased and would like Adam to be singing every song - and if others want to join in, that's ok . I forgot about Soaked - I really love that song live - so I guess I do like some rock from Adam! What about Chokehold? Would that be considered some type of rock or emo rock? That is one of my favorites from Trespassing, and for some reason it seems rockish to me. I hated the album version of Aftermath, I like the dance remix he did for the Trevor Project (I think that's what it was for?) so hope he doesn't put any of that kind of rock. I would be very excited for some type of rock/funk fusion and some rock/electronic and some rock/pop etc. - I guess no straight up rock for me haha

Talon, tx for your take! btw - are you going to try for tickets?
I personally hope the "guests" are of the type that can sing, and that would not include KP, but in the end I sure don't care - there are two "ingredients" I am after - Dr. Bri's guitar and Mr. Lambert's voice. (I have a hard time discerning the quality of drumming, so I am neutral towards Mr. Taylor)
IT WILL BE EPIC!

I don't know if Runnin is rock and roll in today's world or not. However, the songs that have been listed as Adam's "most rock" songs are some of my favorite and that makes A3 super exciting (not like it wasn't already!!!!) I've never thought of Runnin' as a very rock song... I guess it's harder than most of Trespassing though. He might go for a more whadya want from me, sure fire winners kind of thing maybe

Not sure if you're considering all the stuff that was not Adam "filler" (and that would be debatable...I know what site I'm on but most Queen fans for example actually considered those moments some of the highlights). I don't think they'll axe all the Adam-less moments...but yeah the acoustic set will go and the drum solo won't happen. I consider the bass solo, drums battle and guitar solos "filler" because I don't think the audience of a pop concert knows what good stuff is I was trying to put myself into the shoes of someone organizing a Radio concert for an ADD-impaired generation... I love 39 and Love Of My Life, but I don't see them happening at that venue... The 3rd part of the London shows might be very close to what I would expect to see there. Did not mean to offend! Peace!
