I will post my song predictions below the nested quotes but I wanted to point out a few things first
This is what I think: The London show had 3 major parts. The middle part included acoustic guitars, drum battles, Dragon Attack (B-side only fans knew) etc. And barely any Adam in it. So I suspect most of that would be dropped.
Then there is the rock opening which may or may not be part of a radio festival (but I hope it would be) - UP and WWTLF will probably stay. In some versions of the show SBTL was also in the first part. And I love DSMN, but I am not sure it would be used.
And then the 3rd part is pretty much what IHR needs - the 80s Queen songs, AOBTD, Radio GaGa, IWTBF etc. And of course TSMGO, BoRap,WWRY+WATC.
So I hope for all the London QAL highlights where Adam was involved, minus the filler and the more obscure songs.
Not sure if you're considering all the stuff that was not Adam "filler" (and that would be debatable...I know what site I'm on but most Queen fans for example actually considered those moments some of the highlights). I don't think they'll axe all the Adam-less moments...but yeah the acoustic set will go and the drum solo won't happen.
Has Adam done any original songs that one would consider "rock and roll"? Off FYE? Would the music of BFM (forgive me) be considered "rock and roll"? I honestly am a bit confused by this term, especially when someone referred to mumford & sons, P2 and fun as R & R.
I honestly need some assistance in figuring out what this means in respect to current music.
thank you.
Music Again and Soaked was probably the closest thing to rock he's done. FYE was much closer to rock than Trespassing. And as for Runnin', I don't really think it's rock...BUT it's closer than anything off Trespassing....he's getting there
Based on London Day 3, here are some times:
*Seven Seas Of Rhye - 1:50
*Keep Yourself Alive - 2:34
*Under Pressure - 4:03
*I Want It All - 6:10
*Somebody To Love - 5:36
*Who Wants To Live Forever - 4:58
*I Want To Break Free - 4:49
*Radio GaGa - 8:58
*The Show Must Go On - 4:44
*Bohemian Rhapsody - 8:23
*We Will Rock You - 2:32
*We Are The Champions - 4:28
TOTAL TIME: 59:05
Replace the first two with any other song like AOBTD or A Kind Of Magic, you are still in the region of an hour, and the set list becomes even more radio-friendly.
Ok let's get down to business
I think QAL gets 45-1:00
- BoRap and WWRY/WATC are guaranteed - So roughly 12 minutes
- AOBTD - I think AOBTD is an absolute definite as Adam loves it and B&R will attempt to make Adam comfortable
- Dragon Attack - Another reason I think Dragon Attack surprisingly has more of a shot than people think. No guarantee from my end but I would not be surprised. When QPR toured America in 06 they added Dragon Attack specifically because it's more rock.
- Who Wants To Live Forever - As much as WWTLF by Adam is awesome, I'm doubtful on that one - it was never big in America.
- Under Pressure - UP has a good chance as it's one of Rog's favs
- Tie Your Mother Down - TYMD will be played - I guarantee it. Brian always says it's the song that always goes down a storm. In fact I predict Dave Grohl/Taylor Hawkins play on this one and one of them sing.
- Ga Ga - For A Taylor moment is possible
- Killer Queen - For some reason I think Katy Perry sings this with them.
- Show must go on - MAYBE w/Elton/Adam together...
SO I'd say:
Radio Ga Ga (Roger singing)
Under Pressure (w/Adam/Matt Bellamy (?)
Dragon Attack (Adam)
Another One Bites The Dust (Adam)
Killer Queen (Katy Perry)
The Show Must Go On (Adam/Elton)
Bo Rap(Adam/Freddie)
TYMD (Brian/Dave Grohl/Taylor Hawkins)
WWRY/WATC (Adam/Cast)
Something along those lines
I could be wrong? Might be TOO many guests but we'll see :D
