Shoshanna says no news for us. What if there really isn't any label news to share.   Well maybe Adam wants to sell himself... like Prince. I mean he seemed to do most of the work when with RCA. He may have enough money to get an album out . I guess we'll find out soonish. He really does like to be his own boss. Should be interesting. Adam/his management made it pretty clear in his open letter that he was looking for a new label team. That pretty much precludes a self-funded indie effort. And Adam needs global distribution and a global network. At the least, he needs a global distribution deal with UMG or Sony. I think the operative word is "soonish" -- these things take time to put together. I am sure that DMG has been working on this for a while but there are many things they could not do until Adam was released by RCA and we do not know when that was. My guess is that was mid-May 2013. Which means "soon" could be next week, next month or next year. All I am sure of is that one way or another, we will get A3. And I am sure I will love it. The rest is just mechanics. |
