The place is filling up but looking at the live stream -- this does not look like a typical Adam crowd. ETA: I guess the "hot dog" reviewer is in for a surprise! Will we get an after-concert review from the hot dog guy, do you think? I would looooove to see that one :-) |

My thoughts exactly. But I don't think it is the recording. I've always had problems understanding Allison's words whether live or recorded. I would actually prefer that she sing in Spanish so that I would not even be concerned with understanding the words. She needs to learn to enunciate better, but she does have a nice sultry voice. I actually agree with you...I was attempting to give her the benefit of the doubt, as her new youtube sounded so much better than when she opened for Adam. Orianthi was not much better. Even in the third row or standing by the stage for GNT I could not make head nor tails of what she was singing, yet Adam was clear as a bell! I like the vibe of the music ...always interesting to see the direction artists take with their music. The anticipation for the concept of A3.....aaaaccckkkk....well it might be awhile...so I best enjoy all these concerts. I sure hope we do not go through a long drought! Fortunately I only went to 1 GNT that included Orianthi - my very first one. Orianthi is far worse than Allison as far as being able to understand her words goes. I could only make out about 1% of Orianthi's words and 10% of Allison's words. And Orianthi's guitar was SOOOO blaring loud that I was feeling palpitations in my chest and seriously thought I was going to have a heart attack - and I was sitting mid-way back in the balcony. I had to go sit outside the main theater area - my friends came with me as they also were physically uncomfortable from the loudness. I was SOOOO very glad that Adam pays so much attention to his enunciation and the overall balance of the sound!!!!!! About 25 years ago I went to a concert by one of my favorite artists at the time. I had all of her CDs & knew all of the songs. And yet I could only make out a few of her words. And the overall sound was so loud it hurt my ears. It just totally ruined it for me. Why pay that kind of money to see someone live when I can hear more and have a better time just listening to the studio CDs. I didn't go to another pop concert till the summer of the GNT tour. Well, actually, I saw Train at a corporate event just a few weeks before my first GNT. And I've been to 9 Adam concerts over the last 3 years! |
