Thoughts for the day: Since Adam has not shaved of Melvin, which is unusual considering how often he used to change his look, I am betting that he is playing a teacher on GLEE and needs to look older. He is 31 the same age that Cory was but if he was to shave off his beard he would look 17 again. So my deduction is that he needs the moustache and goatee for his character! :-) That's what I say and I'm sticking to it! Loved all the great videos today and may I say that this girl is soooo excited that his next album is taking on a rockier sound. Happy for Lamberlust and Mrs. Lamberlust. Got to admire their commitment. Using iHeart as your honeymoon, that will fun and fitting for those two. ps. I can't get my smiles to work but just picture them bouncing all over the place here. lol Except he could shave tomorrow and have his current look by the end of the month... Guess he just likes it....   I asked all the gay men I know (an unscientific survey, but the best I could do) what they thought of facial hair and Adam's in particular. ALL of them like facial hair in general, makes men look more masculine they said. As for Adam's scruff, they think he looks "much better" to "totally hot." So, I think he's keeping it for those reasons; he's a gay man, he dates gay men (obviously), why wouldn't he want to hang on to a look that other gay men think is hot? And there's a lot of us females who think facial hair is sexy, too (anyone remember swooning over Don Johnson in Miami Vice?). A friend in Ireland thinks Sam Merlotte on True Blood is such a hottie and she wouldn't have the same reaction if his face was a smooth as a baby's bottom. She isn't attracted to "pretty men. What attracts us is so subjective. Spent a week at a workshop earlier this month with participants from Egypt, Uganda, Spain, Iran, France, Mexico, and parts of the US and one night over some wine we got into a discussion about beauty, male and female (as a biologist, I came at it from the evolutionary standpoint). We were up for hours, it was a very enlightening discussion and a lot of fun. It did make me fidget for a moment when they all had to admit they did like blondes with big boobs since I was the one woman there who was blonde with big boobs :-) But they all also said the the most important thing was a person's inner beauty, personality, sense of humor, talent, intelligencesetc. Adam nails it on every level, so we just get all giddy no matter what. |

Three tourists were arrested in Russia for ‘gay propaganda’ today (21 July), making them the first foreigners to be officially charged under the anti-gay law. In Murmansk in North Russia, three Dutch citizens were detained by police. Unconfirmed reports suggest they were helping gay activists in the city protest Russia’s position on human rights. While the three Dutch tourists were being held in the police station, authorities said they had violated the ‘rules of stay in the territory of Russia’. They were told they had broken the law of ‘non-traditional sexual relations’ propaganda among children, which was signed into law by President Vladimir Putin last month. It is believed they were free to go after being charged with the offence, and at the time of writing, was told to appear in court in less than six hours. The hearing is scheduled for 9am Moscow time on 22 July. The Russian LGBT Network has said they are providing legal assistance. If convicted of the law, the three people could be heavily fined, held for up to 14 days in Russian prison and then deported back to the Netherlands.
