Hi everyone! I've just had a few days with no schedule whatsoever and decided to catch up on Glee so I'd be ready for the fall season. I watched the most current episodes on fox.com, but I haven't really watched it since season 2. I needed to go back and catch up. I found a pretty decent web site for watching the series online: stream-tv.me/watch-glee-online/Most of the episodes seem to stream fine (although was dubbed in Russian, maybe). At any rate, if you are wanting to catch any old episodes, give it a try. Some online-tv-watching sites merely have place holders for show episodes, but no actual videos, or they just take to you pay-for-view sites. Although I am excited to see Adam on the show, it does seem like they are at a tricky spot with the next season--even before Cory's death. With some of the original cast members leaving, and new people coming on, there will be less continuity. I don't know if the new students who were added last season are as compelling. Many shows with ensemble casts survive changes in characters very well, but the trick with this show is that they are on a timeline. There are only so many years students can be in high school--another batch of seniors graduates, and the audience better like who is left. I was actually surprised that I still like the show. The writing is still clever. Jane Lynch's lines are right up there with Alan Alda's snappy dialogue on MASH. There is drama, silliness, social messages, morals about how to live life, and full-on cheesiness. And, of course, massive amounts of singing and dancing. I now understand better the loss of Cory. I'm not sure what the shooting schedule was for the last season other than they take a break in the winter. On one of the episodes in the middle of the season, Cory suddenly looked noticeably thin and pale to me--and I'm not usually a person that notices those things. It was very sad to watch that episode knowing what his future would bring. Anyway, I had a great time wallowing in Glee land and not thinking about all the other stuff I should be doing. Now it's time to get back to real life. |

Ryan speaks about the judging panel at 1:15. That's the most anyone has said (I think) since the whole producer, etc., shakeup. They have been pretty tight-lipped. He said he and Keith embraced and hope they will continue working together (paraphrase). Not sure if that means on Idol or some time in the future. Then he said that Idol's audience will really like the judging panel that has been put together. So, it's finalized? |

I am visiting LA right now! My daughter moved out here less than a year ago. She has an apartment in West Hollywood. It's not swanky enough to be where Adam is, but I'm curious if she is close. My daughter is not an Adam fan so has no idea of the level of my crazy! I know I'll be looking for Adam where ever we go! On Thursday evening I'll be hanging out at the Grove while she is at work. Any atopers want to meet?
