There are a lot of artists including Adam, Miley, and Keith at the iHeart concert....would they announce there? I wouldn't think so but ??? No, way too late. Hoping for next week at the TCAs. But pretty cool to know the panel is picked and that the American Idol viewers will be excited about it! Adam! Adam! Adam! so... AI gave an OK to confirm that the selection has been finalised....I find it interesting that there are no leaks, even re JHUD...mys*&@^#r, did u say they might announce at some event on aug 1? |

Hoping for the Television Critics Assoc convention next week. FOX's press conference day is Thursday, Aug. 1st. They have never announced this early before, but FOX has a new team that seems to be proactive! XF has 2 new judges this season and they announced them at the Spring version of this conference. |

Last year, they formally announced the judging panel for Season 12 on Sept. 16 (although there were leaks before then), which was shortly before the judges auditions began filming. The previous time there was a new panel, Season 10, the panel was introduced on Sept. 22, 2010. The cattle-call auditions for Season 13 end on August 11, so the judges auditions won't be filmed until late September at the earliest. So, unless for some reason FOX decides to depart from their usual timing, I would expect them to wait until September to announce the panel. ETA: Of course, they might decide to drop 1-2 names early as a teaser. Next week would be good timing. |

Plus there was a very good reason it was so late last year. Mainly, Mariah's hissy fit about Minaj! Still hoping for next week. If not, then I'd say by the first week of Sept. Pretty sure Keith is in & there are breaks in his tour schedule that could perfectly match the judges' first audition rounds  |

Ryan's audition interview certainly gives credence to the idea of some alums on the panel. Ryan specifically said "Idol" audiences would be excited about the panel, and they prompted or choose contestants who gushed about the idea of alums on panel as well as naming some including Adam. Now in reality though Idol has had 12 seasons already, the Idols with the credibility to be on the panel makes a short list. With Kelly and Carrie not interested or available, that leaves JHud, Daughtry, Adam and maybe Jordin. Daughtry is never mentioned as a possibility because IMO he does not have the outgoing personality or glibness a judge would need though talented and successful. Also gig might hurt his cred in his genre. So that leaves us Adam, JHun and Jordin. My guess is that there will be two alums, JHud and Adam who will be joined by Keith and hopefully Miley. That would be a panel this fan could get excited about. I think Miley blurted out Adam in her iHeart interview with Ryan because she had been working with him and knew she would be working with him and hence was excited about him.

nica commented on the large rib case and that sent me off to google to see what I could see in this area. First...I would be interested in
-----yikes...partial post posted itself....
so...site agreed the expanded rib cage could be partial a result of his singing techniques...but also that because the bulk of the expansion is sideways, it increases the LOOK of their weight...and be part of why Adam always feels like he is not thin enough...
Also...I wonder if that 'sweet nuzzly bit' under the chin helps with resonance....the site talked of added fat around the vocal chords increasing resonance.
The site also explained how the vocal chords can reach higher notes when the head and throat is thrown back....Adam does that all the time when going for the high ones....not just theatrical....
I would love to hear of other body manifestations of singing...
