I am loving where the mashed potatoes are taking us right now!! If ever there was a ripe and ready time for the tribe to pool their artistic resources it is now. They are young enough to be part of relevant and old/experienced enough to have shed their rose-tinted glasses. They can trust each other and are generally a stable and grounded bunch with smarts and attitude....they are cool....and have lots of 'in' references and connections. Adam is perfectly situated to be the first Front person....and the connections he has built in the upper tiers of the music industry and artistic community are nothing short of phenomenal.
They just need to find the perfect vehicle and format to monetize all this glitter, glam and guts......

Adding my little observation to the DREW clue ... Based on the spacing and size of the letters, looks like he/they wrote Remember DREW first, then added the "when we" in between. Don't know if this helps in any mashed potatoes theory.

Thanks Q3 -- maybe he's going indie??? I like to think that the pic of him sticking his tongue out on July 3 was directed at RCA. Hah! Well not indie, imo. It's been my feeling all along, he is not joining, they (whoever all the participants are) are creating one new label that is a blend of multiple moving parts coming together. I do see it ultimately hanging underneath the UMG umbrella though. Adam will be then signed by that label. The question is how much he has to do with bringing this about. And depending on the hour of the day, the position of the sun and my tea leaf reading for the day, this varies between nothing at all and he is a major part in bringing the right people together, as in introducing them, and he has a vision, but ultimately others are running with the show. Have no idea how big this thing is going to be, of course. Wonder whether they have enough biz people lined up to get this working right? But if existing start-up labels merge into this new one, then this may have legs. We'll see - as you call it: Mashed Potatoes. This is more along the lines of my thinking. Also wonder if this has anything to do with Lee Cherry's mysterious tweets of late. ETA: Shoshanna is also looking for larger offices. This may ALL be tied together..... |

ETA: Regarding Adam and his new label -- this had to be set in motion ages ago. And was complicated. Adam would be heavily involved but DMG would be responsible for bringing people together and leading the negotiations on Adam's behalf. Could some of this be tied into the new "space" in Lee Cherry's pics? Haha...great minds!! I just wrote the same thing before reading your thoughts! Also, thanks for the frequent mentions on #FF Fridays! (Is that what it's called? Well, you know what I mean.....) |

Now I'm starting to think the meeting Shosh had with Lindsey Parker may be involved in this whole puzzle. Setting up a network.....maybe hiring Lindsey to join the TEAM???? I'm loving these mashed potatoes! And, based on REAL clues, not cryptic messages, and its making a LOT of sense. |
