I've never been part of another fandom, but I am continuously impressed with the gorgeous and skillfully done fan art posted with surprising frequency. I've been wondering if this is standard for a fandom or does Adam attract artistic people? Anyway I love looking at all of it. I've never followed any artist before so I don't know if other fandoms do such an amazing amount of beautifully creative art. It's inspiring, isn't it? Well time for me to get some sleep.  |

I believe that Adam "guesting" on the Avicii album could be very beneficial to his career in the UK, especially if 'LAY ME DOWN" is released as a single. Remember that the supposed stumbling block in getting Adam all important radio play in the UK is that he was considered "just another" reality show singer, of which Great Britain has plenty of its own. Plus the singles selected by RCA were in no way distinctive and certainly not representative of Adam as an artist.
By guesting on a song by Avicii, who appears wildly popular in Britain, Adam can kind of sneak in under the wire. Plus this song sounds like the music I've heard on BBC Top 40. I think the fact that our own Glampoon loved this song tells me it could break out. If it breaks in the UK, it could very well be a world wide hit.

I've been wondering if this is standard for a fandom or does Adam attract artistic people? Anyway I love looking at all of it. Often wondered about that too. Especially, given the relatively small size of the fanbase, it DOES seem astounding and quite unusual. I believe it is because Adam inspires visually as well as sonically. And his soul shines through in ways that I don't think other recording stars can match. a) Who, as an artist, would not want to draw eyes with as much life and soul in them, as Adam's eyes have. b) The variability in his facial features is so astounding c) So much imagary to tie into (Egyptian, middle Eastern (Ali Baba), Asian influences (Avatar, etc), Phoenix, fantasy world (unicorn, etc), modern pop art, comics, and so forth. In fact, a few days ago somebody posted a collage of different comic figures, all depicting Adam. One of the things that struck me at the time, is how different they were. Normally, comics need to rely on certain facial features that get accentuated, i.e. an over-sized chin for Jay Leno or something like that to make that person easily recognizable. These Adam comic figures showed enormous variety. And if anyone saved that picture, please could you post it again. Thanks. Some were focused on the eyes, others just had black dots. Some had extravagant clothes, others did not Every hair cut imaginable was there, yet all looked clearly like Adam Some were focused on the mouth, others not at all Even the head shape was done differently by different artists In spite of that, each one of them was immediately recognizable as Adam. I was wondering at the time, how that worked? Perhaps, the artist among us, have some insight? I would love to hear about that actually. ETA: Here is the collage, I was thinking of:  |
