Have only just been able to get beyond page 2 - thought there had been no posts for six hours! Got a horrible feeling that I was the last Atopper left on earth! Very lonely for a while there.... What would happened if Idol had no judges or ones with very minor roles. That would put the emphasis on the singers. Like the Ted Mack Amateur Hour of old days (I never saw it), the audience voted. Or some talent shows in the past have different judges for each week. Or the judges could be restrained: "Liked It" "Didn't Like It." I guess we'd really find out if the audience is interested in the talent on the show or the "Talent" (aka judges). The show could still tell the contestants' back stories.
I was just looking up a little info on talent shows. Star Search (which was a big talen show) ran 12 years. Most shows do not get 12 seasons.

I'm having lots of problems with Atop today. When I click to NEXT page, sometimes only pages 1&2 appear. I just had a post disappear. Refreshing also make some pages disappear.
