I agree with you that some people are making money off of American Idol and the way they do it isn't necessarily in the best interest of the show. I guess SF gets whatever he wants. I just don't understand why. Q3 said that they were going to use Idol as a "cash cow" until it's gone in a couple a years. ETAI always thought that shows go off the air because the writers run out of fresh ideas. Perhaps, after a number of years, too many people have their hands in the money pot.

I was thinking it would take some super acting skills for Adam to play an egotist but then someone reminded me how great he was on Diva's. I AM A DIVA!!! So I think it would be fine if there was a humorous slant to the role.
I am really excited about the Hamptons benefit gig with Nile and Avicii (even though there is no way I can go). Perhaps, PERHAPS we will get good-quality video of LMD!
He is getting some really good gigs and that is due to the respect the music icons have for his extraordinary talent. There are other ways to musical success and longevity than getting a hit or two on top40 radio. That would be nice too of course, but I'm pretty happy with the way things are going right now until radio wakes up to the obvious.
And ugh - I'm so over talking about Idol. Ded to me.

I have to agree with FanOfTheMan on this one. This will be Adam's first acting role, so I don't want it to be one that will make people dislike him or assume he's anything close to that in real life. He can branch out later, but for his first role, he should have an appealing role. That was the problem with the AMA performance. His character in the song was not appealing to a large number of people. The fact that his performance was so convincing says a lot about how well he interpreted the song, 'Your Entertainment'. I'd like to see a sweet, but sexy, role on Glee. Someone who is caring and not confrontational. Save the antagonist roles for later.

banner caption "say 'Aaaaaahhh'" I agree with Fan o man There are too many shows on tv where it is hard to find a character to like. "Downton Abbey" is one. They had one redeeming character and I think they killed him off at the end of last season.
Remember Bruce Dern. He killed john wayne in the "Cowboys" To this day I dislike him. His daughter, Laura Linney, said she had a hard time growing up because everyone hated her father for killing John. So I would like to see Adam as a funny character or someone who helps the others get over the death of Finn

Hamptons Concert - How do you go about dealing with this concert - accommodations, travel, etc? Is there public transportation directly to the concert from NYC or do you have to have a car? Where to stay?
Anyone on Atop know this area?
