I agree with this. While I think Adam could really shine as Roderick Easton, talented egotist, I feel that is how too many people see him now. We know the egotist part of description could not be further away from Adam in reality. The main reason I thought Idol would have so good for him was that people could have see what a sweetheart he is and fallen in love with him like we did. Now that Idol is not a happening, I would like him in a role where he plays someone more like his real self. The super talented part will be in any character he plays.
