Interesting interview with Avicci's manager Ash.

A big part of the reason Avicci didn't do as well in the USA IMHO. Compare USA with Sweden in the chart and look at the MAS scores.

I doubt collective hand waving happens as easily in the USA as it does in parts of Europe, including Sweden. I'm thinking that in general, as a society, Americans are more geared to sticking out than fitting in and being a part of large group togetherness raves and doing arm waves.
Might be a challenge for Avicci but they would be good for America. Primal group trance states are really good for the brain (Gaba release!). Dark Swedish winters are a perfect place for this kind of activity. U.S. needs to destress bigtime right now. We need more Avicci style simple happy trance play.
I'm not so into the cocaine/ acid trip message of his bromance video. I'm guessing that goes hand in hand with this kind of club music. I confess I have always looked at house/club music it in the same way one might look on strip malls, mcDonalds and barbie dolls, lacking anything truly edifying. But I like Avicci's sound and I like seeing huge crowds of happy people jumping up and down.
People need to have fun.
I wonder if avicci would ever be a backing artist for another artist with performance chops on tour. (I don't know who? : )
What a difference a year makes!! His fanbase in the US has grown quite a bit and he has gone more mainstream. Not sure an arena tour would work but he is selling out his other shows here.
