Just a gut feeling, but the fact that Niles and Adam are both on Lay Me Down, both internationally know quantities might provide credance to this song being the second single release. I suppose it is presumptuous on my part, in as much as Avicii has world play right now... so it would not matter which single he released. But I feel with my bones the Niles/Adam combo is a winning combo.

Adam and Sauli in Norwegian magazine Julia. "There are rumors that Adam Lambert has broken up with his love one Sauli Koskinen simply because they have grown apart from each other. But they say that they are good friends."

The Roller Coaster Series : Day 99
I had a dream last night .
Well , lots of dreams actually . But only one of them is on-topic here .
I dreamed that Adam went to the barber to shave .
And that barber shop was so weird , it was like a laboratory .
LOL , it takes a Laboratory to kill Melvin ?
I'm still laughing about that ridiculous dream , LOL !!
Melvin is still alive and well though .
Yeah , on other news , TOMORROW .
I'm nervous . I mean I'm prepared to be surprised , but .. Wait , no , I'm not prepared .
Really if the single is not LMD , I'm gonna weep my eyes out . And I'm not kidding .
Oh My God .
Only hours left now . I'm biting off my fingers . At 1:00 p.m. tomorrow , #TheTrueReveal will happen in my time .
AAH !!
LOL I better calm down .

But I feel with my bones the Niles/Adam combo is a winning combo. I met with a friend who relocated from NY back to California the other day. She is a non-fan. When I asked her if she knew who Nile Rodgers was, she said "Yeah, the guy from Chic. That guy is everywhere. Didn't realize he worked with all those other artists." It got me thinking, if this is someone who is not following Adam (and therefore Nile) and she is seeing Nile all over the place, other people must be too. Since he's kinda "hot" at the moment, I hope they do pick LMD as the single. Also, I hadn't heard of or know the background of any of the other featured artists. Do any of them have the same kind of success/clout as Nile? Just wondering if perhaps Nile being a legend, if there was any kinda agreement that the song he worked on must be a single at some point (Nile was already calling it a smash and how can something not a single ever be a smash?).You know, like how Claude Kelly and Dr. Luke were behind Adam's first singles even though they weren't the best songs. I do think LMD is a great song though.

Cassie, I am sure that Adam must have struggled back and forth before making his decision, it cannot have been easy. I bet, things got a bit easier, once he had Glee and the other gigs, because that made it a continuum of a successful TV and performance career, with just a transitional label status, versus just an exit into an overall unclear future. Big difference. But there were many months before that, where he already knew that his situation at RCA had become contentious or unsupported, but yet, did not know how things would work out going forward. It cannot have been easy to put a positive spin on things, while already feeling bad about the situation. But I also think that this is life. Who of us has not been in an employment situation, where we were unhappy with the situation, but did not see a way out, or did not know how to turn the ship around. Or maybe it is a bad relationship or some other conflict that causes us to have sleepless nights. Whatever it is, sometimes it takes time to sort stuff out. The good news is, that he got out beautifully, and with at least an immediate future ahead of him. He can right now freely explore his musical direction and I personally think that this is also something that Adam really needs some time for. I don't think he quite knows yet, what his next direction is and we will all see, what will come of it. I am glad that Adam can explore all this, without a voice hovering over him and trying to influence him based on some RCA accountant's opinion of the music world. He is free.....and count me in the club of those who think he will stay free for a while and go for the eventual distribution deal, rather than the label ties for now. I think he is 'shopping' interesting musical collaborations right now and not labels. Just my hunch. ============== In other news of the day, I want to join the choir of those giving a thank you shout out to Reihmer, our resident baker at this time: Love to find your baked goods and delicacies every day. Thank you so much! Yum! =================== Sandy? Sandy? Am I the only one who is wondering about our Sandy (sandy518, sandy618, sandymct, sandysva)????? Sandy, I don't recognize you anymore. Help! Sandy, there is no fear involved, and contrary to this image, we are surely not fearing your arrival here, but we would like to recognize you when you show up, and make sure we bake our cakes on the right day for you. ================== Finally, want to thank Melliemom who posted that tenor - Les Mis - video on page 2. Reminded me again, how exceptional and unusual Adam's voice is. If you listen just the first few seconds. The song starts out with an octave jump up, which is surely a difficult way to start a song, but this tenor, who seems like the strongest of the four actually, needs to use all his training and vocal control to hit that note, and at least to my ears it sounded like a high note at first....until I started singing that jump myself and realized, it only sounded high to my ears, because it was high in the context of this tenor's personal voice. A jump from E3 to E4 is for Adam a jump in the lower half of his range, not the upper. Adam would be able to do this E3 to E4 jump, but he would also be able to do the E4 to E5 cleanly (and has done so live, i.e. Music Again). None of these 4 trained tenors here would have any chance at trying that. The highest note in the song is an A4 (halfway between E4 and E5) and only two of the guys are singing it. Adam is completely in a league of his own, even compared to these professionals here. Given that it's a slow day, if you want to follow along with what I just wrote, here is an online piano with the keys printed on it, that you can open in a window and hit the notes while reading through the paragraph above or while playing the beginning of the song. www.play-piano.org/play_online_piano_piano.html

Colm Wilkinson, and beat-me-with-a-noodle-because-I-forget-the-name-of-the-singer-to-Colm's-right are amazing. The role [and originally that of the Phantom] were written with Colm in mind because he IS so amazing. Keep in mind that this is a really quiet, unadorned and emotion song...it is not like one you can belt out. So these notes can only be compared to Mad World or Soaked or TOMT... and Colm is over 60, singing live. Pretty damn good if you ask me and not to be sneezed at. Not exactly the same timbre as Adam [the un-named one is closer to Adam in 'brightness'] but definitely in the 'same league' IMHO. By the way...does anybody know if Lea Michelle performed in that special as she was originally Cossette in Les Mis....? ETA I think Colm Wilkinson is as big in Musical Theatre as Queen in rock.....and Adam would be thrilled to be considered in the company of him.....it is too bad that some of the pure theatre stars do not seem to be as known outside of the theatre. We tend to only hear of them when the cross over into film or television. That is really sad..... ETA2 Just had to check...he is 69!!

And... Bailey and sandymct!Welcome Bailey. Sandymct is my old lovely friend here. She has been on Adamtopia as long as I can remember. Bobo.. beautiful you! How are you? It's been forever? ooo that pic of Adam and Sauli tugs at my heart again. :( Yes , sorry everyone. I changed my avi. I have been here since Jan 2013 or so. It's sandy mctavish from Ontario Canada.. known as sandymct. I left for a couple of days, long story, but am back fresh and new!!! Cassie : I am been struggling with the intent of that surrender statement for quite some time , and he mentioned it in another interview.. where he was wearing the black and white dragonfly McQueen shirt ( I can remember the shirt but not the place..duh!) . I had quite a conversation with Shoshanna about it, and she said artists that try to control everything are a mess. But I am not sure if she understood the context of the statement either. It really was about delegating, in her eyes. Me, don't know to this day what he meant, because the Adam I have come to know is not about surrender, is he?
