No, most artists do not maintain a radio presence unless it is old songs. Katy hasn't had anything new out and either has Gaga for over a year. And if we are just talking about radio playing year old songs, I've got my playlists. Don't need to find the old songs on radio.Yes, I was referring to year old songs....and I'm happy for you, but I'm still bored. "The fault, dear Duberville, is not in our stars (or our star, Adam), But in ourselves" W. Shakespeare I'm bored, too. But I only have myself to blame. I have been so consumed with Adam that it has nudged out other things. Today, I actually went to the library. You know, that place with books in it that you can borrow for free? My records showed I hadn't visited since 2009. Hmmm, 2009 = discovering Adam and falling down a very deep rabbit hole. While I wait for Glee, Queenbert, A3 or whatever else is on the horizon, I may actually read a book. Turns out they have this new-fangled thing where I can "borrow" a book via Kindle and don't even have to go to the library. Who knew? Wonder what else has happened while I was Adam watching.

ok, guys, if you got the blues, go for a bike ride, go shopping, read some poetry, help your local charity with a project, whatever floats your boat, but please don't dump that blues on me....pretty, pretty...please. I need Adamtopia to get news about all that is happening with Adam, and as others have pointed out, there is still a ton happening. I want to read about all that great stuff and we have a concert in less than a week. Who from here is going, btw? Right now, I am going to log off here, because this is nuts. Adam needs to think about his own stuff and yes, my eyes tell me too that things are hard for him right now. Sure trying to send him all my energy, love, creative spirits, muses...whatever it takes to write some good tunes. But not going to hound him with expectations. He may need some time to figure himself out right now. A beard can be a curtain, just like make-up can be a mask. He needs his friends right now, not demanding, crazy fans. And for all who want to talk more about having the blues (not the musical one, the other one), where was this thread again? I think this is it: adamtopia.com/thread/895?page=76 Hope it is the right one. Please don't tell people what and where to post!! Scroll is your friend!!

For the general public though, I do agree, it is a long time with no radio presence. Basically, it's been since IIHY

I am still convinced that being on Avicii's album is great for his pocket but does nothing for popularity, just because the EDM crowd can't care less about the vocals/vocalists. We have Glee. It will have to do for now. Vocalists on dance tracks can break out but they tend to be part of a scene AFAIK - e.g. Alison Goldfrapp got her break singing on some Orbital stuff. Current example in the UK is Sam Smith (he has an interesting voice) coming through at the same time as Disclosure who are just getting big. Sam Smith had a single called Lay Me Down coincidentally.

Certainly our feelings--whatever they might be--should be allowed to be explored as we adjust to the "uncertainty" of things. And all artists go through lulls. I have no "dark" feelings at all, lol, and I am nowhere near feeling "the blues." eta---I am not "demanding" anything of him (I'm not even on twitter to bug him, lol). He can take as long as he needs.

Adam has been so extremely entertaining for so long, that even this period that without a doubt has some great things going on, seems like it is a little slow. But what is going on is great. I am very thrilled about glee. Seeing Adam on my TV is one of my favorite things. I think LMD is a fantastic song, IMO the funnest on the album, but it would have been more entertaining to have it as the new single. Still think there is plenty of hope that it will be later on, and that timing could work out better for Adam's new release. Also being in iHeart concert is a big win. He is going to completely blow a lot of minds and gain new respect and new fans. That is still a ways away however. I am hoping this will soften radio's response to him. So while I am happy with what is going on including the concert with Nile which will be in 6 days, I think it is good to not be glued to the computer as much as I have been in the past. I have been getting more real life things done. I am a fan for the long term so not going anywhere.
My goodness the old adage "Beauty is in the eye of Beholder" is proving true at Atop. I think Adam looks so sexy and gorgeous with Melvin. I do agree that a little bit of shortening of mustache would make him look even more gorgeous.

I think a world wide or even nationwide tour by an artist keeps them in the public eye to a degree. An album is released, an artist promotes and tours for at least a year, various singles are dropped along the way. That fills the void or makes the time go faster, to me anyway. I have been looking at release dates for artists I love and two years is what I am seeing. If TP had been out within 2 years after FYE we really should be on A3 (tongue sorta in cheek). Of course following an artist so closely adds to the drama. For the other artists, I depend on their tweets or instagrams to keep my interest. Regarding Adam, it is more than the music anyway. Glad we have Glee. Hope there are other opportunities to stay acquainted, while we wait for new music. And there is plenty of old news and videos to entertain. (nod to 4msrmyn).
mellimom, i share your sentiment. it might be driving some of the feelings out there.
We have seen Adam support Gaga and Katy. Have we ever seen much from them? My latest irk. Have you seen Katy's lyric video? Molinari and Ferras. I wanted Adam on that screen. He would have fit. But I guess they are not bffs. I also remind myself- I do not think Gaga's support of Semiprecious Weapons has done that much for their career

Wow really? It just seems like yesterday that Born This Way was out and Gaga already has a new record. But when I check it really has been over two years, May 2011! So if TP was released in May 2012 we ARE looking at least until late 2014. Eek, I need to find something else to do. The problem here. is TP released in May 2012 BUT no radio presence.............people only remember WWFM and possibly IIHY from when 2010????? SInce TP never went anywhere. He REALLY needs a single out soon. He needs a hit if that is the direction he wants... GLEE yes that will keep his name in people minds but as mentioned before, it;s GLEE music not his CD. As Cassie mentioned yesterday, I wondered how he will like being back in the 'fold' of DO as I say and not be in control... I'm hoping the $$ is great but to me, it sidetracking his radio career somewhat but I guess he's gamblimg on the exposure Glee can afford him. WHAT about an annoucemnet regarding a LABEL? I don't like the waiting and yes, for me, yesterday, I didn't see the happy go 'whoopee' smiling Adam we've seen before, he looked very contemplative. As for Avicii. who even know if LMD becomes a single...so that being, said, I really feel he needs to release his own single soon. a four year lull is way too long for an artists who really is still trying to open the door into the radio game. YES RCA REALLY SCREWED HIM BUT I don't want to wait for 2014...
