I hear ya but most "pop stars" maintain a radio presence in between albums....that sure helps with keeping one's interest. (We get pretty pictures, but even those are not doing it for me lately...haha!) Glee will be great and I'm looking forward to it. No, most artists do not maintain a radio presence unless it is old songs. Katy hasn't had anything new out and either has Gaga for over a year. And if we are just talking about radio playing year old songs, I've got my playlists. Don't need to find the old songs on radio. I suppose we did get somewhat spoiled for a while there....albeit, we have never had the pleasure of listening to year old songs on the radio from Adam....WWFM for awhile but that is it, so that comparison is not really legit, to me. What we did have before was regular tweets, twitter parties with substantial replies, regular updates on the progress of whatever he was working on, and a sense that he was sharing a good part of himself with us because that was important to him. We had a sense that we were all on the same side and that we are important to him. Now everything is shut right down...the only reason we have any idea of what he is up to at all is because of tweets from Nile and some from Queenwillrock... even what we know of the Avicii collab comes from Nile...not Adam. We get a few paps photos but he makes sure we get no clue about his private life at all. Now Adam has every right in the world to shut down and out....but that understandably leaves fans feeling left out. Do we still care...of course...very much and always...and I am very excited to watch Glee. But to me, it is quite understandable to feel a little bereft...

Wow really? It just seems like yesterday that Born This Way was out and Gaga already has a new record. But when I check it really has been over two years, May 2011! So if TP was released in May 2012 we ARE looking at least until late 2014. Eek, I need to find something else to do. The problem here. is TP released in May 2012 BUT no radio presence.............people only remember WWFM and possibly IIHY from when 2010????? SInce TP never went anywhere. He REALLY needs a single out soon. He needs a hit if that is the direction he wants... GLEE yes that will keep his name in people minds but as mentioned before, it;s GLEE music not his CD. As Cassie mentioned yesterday, I wondered how he will like being back in the 'fold' of DO as I say and not be in control... I'm hoping the $$ is great but to me, it sidetracking his radio career somewhat but I guess he's gamblimg on the exposure Glee can afford him. WHAT about an annoucemnet regarding a LABEL? I don't like the waiting and yes, for me, yesterday, I didn't see the happy go 'whoopee' smiling Adam we've seen before, he looked very contemplative. As for Avicii. who even know if LMD becomes a single...so that being, said, I really feel he needs to release his own single soon. a four year lull is way too long for an artists who really is still trying to open the door into the radio game. YES RCA REALLY SCREWED HIM BUT I don't want to wait for 2014... Ya know ADAM has talked about going in many different directions in his career.. The recording industry being just one of them. I said a while back ,that IMHO Adam was at a crossroads, He is no longer that starry eyed kid from Idol.. Lessons learned, etc. I see Adam going in a whole lot of different directions. He said he would like to do movies,TV, and so forth. He is also an actor and probably a much better one than many of us would believe. You have to act in musical comedies ,look at Barbra Streisand, she does both and many others who have gone from the theater to movies.. Adam being gay very often comes into the picture too. There is a lot of push back from the anti-gay folks.. This man has to work doubly hard for what he gets,at least that's my opinion. I love him and want only what he wants.. how I fill my life is up to me.. that's not Adam's job

I don't think Adam has shut anyone out, especially fans. He tweets or IGs almost every day! Remember, before IG, when we used to beg for photos from him? Now he does a few a week and we are begging for more tweets! LOL! As far as his face in those pics, he was walking alone, people! What do you do when you are walking alone! Smile at yourself? LOL! His pics with his friends are great! Might be a little projecting by some.

I feel like I'm in the minority in that I could happily wait years for another album if we keep getting entertainment along the way like these few months have been/will be. It's been a long time since Adam's last radio hit but Adam seems to get along by being in the business of being Adam. I find all these other things bubbling away infinitely more enjoyable as a fan than the long old slog of WWFM up the charts or 100+ shows of Glam Nation.

I don't care about twitter parties or tweets, and I am completely uninvested in his personal life. That's his own thing, and I don't need him to let me in on anything. I do think he is in a rebuilding, transitional time where there is probably a lot going on behind the scenes. Before he can even think of releasing music, he needs a better foundation---things like Glee and collabs with people like Avicii are certainly working toward that end. I am just going to have to be patient as Adam and DMG and whoever else get it done.

Yes, Real Life Is calling.. the one that has been neglected a wee bit by the all consuming knowledge of all things Adam.
It's a good thing.
Adam , he'll be fine. He will always have work. He will always have his voice. He will always have that great personality. I can't see him losing his drive. He will figure it out.
I can't say I am bored, I think I am ready to let go . For a while.

Yes, for me it's also this uncertainty that makes me a little bit nervous at the moment. I could patiently wait a few months more or less, if I knew FOR SURE that he continues working on A3 besides his other projects and that it will be released sometime next year but when I hear nothing about it or about a new label, I'm always a little "worrybert", sorry, I can't do anything against it! And some answers of the twitter party also didn't calm me down, quite the opposite ...!

Just a couple of thoughts....
1. New Adam music -- we know he is working on music. Nancy Sinatra did not hear him rehearsing though his condo wall -- so he is not in his bedroom. My guess is that we get a single in Q1 2014 and an album in Spring 2014. That is 2 years from Trespassing. In the meantime he will be in the public eye on Glee, with Queen at iHeartRadio, with Nile later this week, and I am certain other places.
2. Adam said he wanted longevity and he wants to explore acting and he wants to express who he is as an artist and a person. I think he is doing that.
Finally, there is some projection about Adam feeling down, I really do not know what this is based on. He seems to be balancing work and spending time with friends and family and having a good time. And the man I saw him in Pittsburgh and California was as happy as I have ever seen him.
We do not know how he felt about the break-up with Sauli but they are still friends and I take Adam at his word -- it happened gradually over time. It does not appear to be a devastating event in his life. Just a relationship that ended.
RCA and Adam split up was something he knew about long before we did and was clearly in the works for months. And financially, Adam came out on the good side of that deal because he got the big Idol contract advance for Trespassing.
Balance that out with what has happened in the past year -- getting recognition from the gay community, the successful entry into China, getting a real acting part in Glee, getting to collaborate with anyone he wants to including Avicii, being a headliner at the most important music festival in the world, etc.
I think Adam is moving toward his goals. I think there are some fans who are not happy because they measure Adam's success by being bigger than Katy and Gaga/or within the Idol Bubble Carrie and Kelly. Well, that does not appear to be Adam's plan nor has he said that is what he wants.
ETA: There is so much more to being a successful entertainer than broadcast radio. And no one can predict radio hits in advance (except that "Roar" is headed to the top of the chart.) Seriously, who would have picked Robin Thicke to have a global mega hit on his 15th single? Or that Daft Punk would go mainstream with "Get Lucky"?
