Not sure, but could it have been at the Diva rehearsals? BTW, great art and photos tonight! Thanks to all who are sharing. ![]() I don't now exactly but I think that it was shortly before the GNT in 2010? (Look at the haircut with the two shaved stripes at one side, wasn't that his haircut at the beginning of the tour?) ETA: I found an old article about it on another fansite! Thank you, Talon, for the giving us the high points of Roger's interview. I found this very interesting:
"CR: Let's cut straight to the chase, Roger - What is the status of Queen right now?
RT: I'm still in the band, but there's only two of us left, Brian and myself. And only one of us can walk! We still run the brand - that's what it is these days."
I do hope Brian's knee heals without pain, and then selfishly hope he and Roger will want to do a few more things with Adam. But I would not expect them to travel all that much. Actually, I am curious as to why they took this gig with iHeart. Is it because they will be promoting the Freddie/MJ record, or as a favor to Adam? For whatever reason, a great many of us are very happy they are doing it. 
I'm betting it's a little bit of both and just for the hell of it. Like Rog says, he likes performing, he just can't really see himself doing the grueling tours anymore...so they'll probably try to do big gigs - more bang for their buck kind of thing, and more fun in a way... although saying that Rog, did mention possibly touring to promote his solo album - but I'd bet on that being a very small UK tour. I just get the feeling that Queen will still perform a few times a year and as of right now, Adam is their first call to sing. Not a bad thing. Not quite the US tour I wanted, but it could mean a more lasting partnership in a way... |
