I think I'm understanding a little better why people complained his first album was overproduced.
The FYE Aftermath appears to mute his true vocals that we hear on this remix. I remember people saying his vocals needed to be more up front. I wasn't overly fond of the FYE Aftermath; although I loved the lyrics, the music left me a little...meh. This version I love!
The high notes are amazing but I wouldn't want a steady diet of them although he did sound like he was just having fun. I remember reading or hearing him say that in FYE he was saying...look what I can do. LOL
I think he was having that same kind of fun at the Paso Robles concert with Purple Haze and AYGGMW. I love that raw, gritty ,power he showed on those songs and then holding that high note at the end of AYGGMW. WOW just WOW!! I hope his new music has some of that sound in it. I have listened to those songs so-o-o-o-o many times. Can't say why, but they are so appealing,
