Nile Rodgers, the legendary guitarist and producer who has worked with everyone from Madonna and Diana Ross to Daft Punk, threw his annual All For the East End (AFTEE) fundraiser on Long Island on Saturday with appearances by Adam Lambert and mega DJ Avicii. Rodgers worked with Lambert on the singer's last studio album, "Trespassing," but on Saturday he debuted a new collaboration with the "American Idol" star and Avicii entitled "Lay Me Down," which will be featured on the DJ's upcoming debut album, "True." The song, which "Rolling Stone" has called a "glitter-caked, Studio 54-ready jam," got the crowd dancing and listeners at home probably won't be able to resist either. While Lambert didn't perform his new song with Avicii -- it was just the studio version that was played -- he did take the stage to sing the David Bowie classic "Let's Dance" with Rodgers (who produced the original) playing guitar. 4Ms, I see a pic but it doesn't move (right click offers a download option on QT). I use IE as a browser, I don't have iTunes in any form, but I do have Flash, WMP, QT and Silverlight for video content. Thanks! I'm using Chrome. I'm going to switch to Firefox and see what happens. I know some folks haven't been able to see the instagram vids at all. I don't have instagram, but I signed in using the Facebook account that I keep for fan stuff. ETAFirefox is exactly the same for me. I tap the photo, it plays, then disappears until I refresh. Mind you I could see IG videos with no problems until about two weeks ago and I don't have an account. Big problems for a week but after that I can see them when I first click the direct IG link posted, continue with clicking uploader's nick getting the thumbnails, then click the one I was supposed to watch > works perfectly. |

OT If you want to see Sauli talking in Finnish, try this (Katri interviewing) ismobilea.thirdpresence.com/dls/t/watch.jsp?org=1&rid=1288591881754 (Tailor-made skates, spikes a bit of a problem, they will start training with learning how to fall - safely if possible, wants to learn a pirouette, he's not afraid, no limits atm on what to try - have to see how it goes.) ETA There'll surely be more press and pics etc posted in SC so keep checking there. |

I bet Sauli does great.. Doesn't he have an acrobatic background? Then he was learning how to spin , up high, on silk. He's a natural as far as the grace and dancing part. I bet he has a skating background too.. Can't wait to see him in action |

Oh gosh.. brave Sauli. There was a Canadian equivalent show, but they were pairing female figure pair skaters with hockey players... It was a who does it better /which is more difficult kind of show. ( hint figure skaters!) Ice dancing might be only a wee bit easier to learn because they will keep their feet on the ice, and not be trying to do lifts. ie.. toe pick!!!!!!! Sauli is so cute. |

Ryan Seacrest's mind must have been blown. The ticket winner was a fan of Adam and Justin Timberlake, not Adam and Lawrence Welk. She didn't sound like she was in a rocking chair! (Not that Justin's fans are all teen girls, but tip to radio: Adam and Justin do hit some of the same demographic.) ![]() And she really wants to meet Adam, instead of JT  |
