Awww! I know you'll get there, Grandduchess....I know you'll get there....I know you'll.....( a little extra positive thinking can't hurt) I just covered my a** and got a ticket on mileage that I can use any time within a year if I cancel for one direction and a Southwest ticket that I cancel at the last minute for the other direction so if tickets come up the last week, I can grab one if I am lucky! Can't do the current prices but I am hopeful it will still work out. I have the hotel reservation also and still looking for a room mate. Come on Grandduchess - let's pull this one off too! hell yeah plus I have already put my outfit put together. Priorities people priorities! I wanna see Muse too, lost my chance a few years ago. They played at the fair grounds in Tucson. The problem they come on at midnight and the prior acts were metal. I could not get anyone to go with me and figured by the time Muse came on the crowd would be dangerous. Sure enough the news the next day included information on arrests and fights.

If anyone wants to consider the NewYork, New York or Monte Carlo, I'd also be looking for a roommate (or the Hilton with no tickets available from them though) and we'd get two tickets. And I want to stay 3 nights but if someone else doesn't, not a problem for me. I just punched in one ticket on stubhub and it narrows the ticket selection A LOT - or two tickets from a hotel package and I'd have one to sell?

If not only gays but allies did this there could be an economic impact that might make a difference. I also need some advice. What organizations help teens escape or gives help to gay teens who are in trouble. Remember I am in a small community. I would try your local Women's Shelter or Rape Crisis society first. Also if you have a "good Samaritan' hotline or suicide hotline...often these people know who to contact and/or where to go. The helping community is small and interconnected...if you have a Sally Ann or a food bank they may be able to help also.....anyone who works with the indigent or homeless....If you personally know and trust a social worker....If there is a university or college nearby, talk to someone in the lbgt club/centre or Women's centre...they will generally be able to give you a place to start. If your community has neither of those, I would talk to someone at the local YWCA first, YMCA next...they often actually cordon off part of their facilities for this. Almost all communities have some sort of place that deals with women and violence and it is at these places you can generally find this kind of help.

Its a boy whose parents are wanting to send him to conversion therapy. No crisis centers, YMCA but I do know people at the food bank. One of my friends volunteers there but the problem is that it is run by the Baptist church, the same one the young man parents belong to. for the poor to get food it is mandatory they sit through a sermon.I see LOT of phone calls in my future. This is a very small mostly Mormon community. Thank you mszue, you gave me some ideas.
