I just got here...and WUT!?!? Adam is both attending and presenting at the VMAs?? Not that I'm not thrilled (OMG, YAY!!!!) but...why???? He's been completely off the pop music radar for more than a year. Either a professional or a personal connection wants him back on the radar. yup...for instance I am sure FOX/Glee wants him on that radar...

So, Shosh is downplaying the significance of this, saying it is nothing much. Now just presenting is obviously not a huge thing, even though it is nice and quite unexpected, given that Adam does not have current music or videos to celebrate.
The bigger question is why is he seated next to Nile or at least close to him (one seat in the middle, maybe). If they are presenting together, what category would they present? If they are not presenting together, why were they seated together?
Best Collaboration?
I'd love that one for presentation. (I presume Blurred line has a pretty good chance in that category).
The dual significance of it though would be neat. Pretty, pretty please!

yeah for this- the pop scene is waking up to all the fantastic connections Adam has. is this DMG, Adam, Glee, all of the above - certainly seems like a step up post RCA, were they holding him back or just not promoting him?

Ugh. I'm sorry, but those "fans" berating shoshana on twitter are the worst kind of entitled idiots ever. IMO of course.
As for myself, I LOVE surprises!!!

I don't get why fans are imagining/hoping for the Avicii number sung live. Avicii does not do live music. That's not his gig. He creates a special sound in the studio and spins it creatively live for a rave type dance party. Just him, his control panel, his sound system, a jillion fancy lights and effects, and his tracks and beats. No live musicians. No live singers. Adam sings live. Avicii plays his tracks live. Different entertainment. I think it is because Avicii, Nile and Adam tried to figure out how to do LMD live. I do not see why Nile and Adam could not sing with a super backing track done by Avicii. It would be different than what Avicii does, but has been done by other DJs -- notable by David Guetta. *** Adam at the VMAs is most likely the work of DMG to keep him high-profile while they work on a new deal. Add that to the two recent collaborations. They are doing a great job. Also, I adore Nile! He shares so much with fans!! Plus he is an awesome person.

DebbieBert @saspurs21fan 2mMTV VMAs: Exec Producer Promises Love Letter to Brooklyn j.mp/157LNXE via @thr ( ADAM LAMBERT MENTION) So according to this article, Jesse Ignjatovic is the executive producer, and he loves Adam, so maybe that is why he is there even without being on the pop radar for over a year.
