Like this tweet about Miley's performance mark goring @goringmark76 @adamlambert @mileycyrus Such performances don't help the message the 'Miss Representation' doco is standing for I am a big Mis Representation fan. I joined the Miss Representation movement when it first hit - great, necessary and worthwhile initiative. And I agree with their tweet to Adam. I'm not sure when "getting everyone talking" (due to being outrageous in what you're wearing or how you're acting) became the measure of success for a performance but I'm pretty sure it can't be a good thing nor is it something worthy of encouragement but that seems to be where things sit these days. #YMMV |

Sometimes Adam is just too nice...
And shame on all the adults involved with that performance who didn't stand up and give her some guidance before she got up on that stage and basically embarrassed herself. There is a reason MTV is not watched in my house anymore.

I must say that I feel a little sad on Miley behalf. I'm sad that she maybe thinks that there is no other way for her to be noticed as grown up artist, I'm sad that this entire news storm about her performance seems to confirm that she is right. And maybe Adam is right and we should leave Miley alone.

I must say that I feel a little sad on Miley behalf. I will chime in and say that she's an adult so if that's what she wants to do then more power to her, but if she's looking to be taken seriously as a not-Disney artist she should be trying to create positive publicity and not thriving on negative publicity. And I will also blame Robin Thicke for his crappy song and video (unpopular, I know, most people loved it regardless of the lyrics)
Eta---sorry, that's all I'll say; I have young kids, including a 6yr. old girl, so this stuff really rubs me the wrong way
