I must say that I feel a little sad on Miley behalf. I'm sad that she maybe thinks that there is no other way for her to be noticed as grown up artist, I'm sad that this entire news storm about her performance seems to confirm that she is right. And maybe Adam is right and we should leave Miley alone. I will chime in and say that she's an adult so if that's what she wants to do then more power to her, but if she's looking to be taken seriously as a not-Disney artist she should be trying to create positive publicity and not thriving on negative publicity. Otherwise she's just a musical Perez Hilton. jmo She is an adult yes, but she is 21 only. When I was 21 I had almost as long work experience as she has now in show business and now I can safely say that I was stupid young adult who was thinking that know all the answers. Adulthood has nothing to do with age - maybe it's a cliché, but also the truth.

Like this tweet about Miley's performance mark goring @goringmark76 @adamlambert @mileycyrus Such performances don't help the message the 'Miss Representation' doco is standing for I am a big Mis Representation fan. This is awesome Just tweeted it out and put it on my Facebook

And it will never end, which is depressing Even now when I'm 35 I think sometimes "WTH were you thinking 5 years ago?" when I remember some not so wise things I've done.

I think Adam is just right nice. Miley's critics are being heard loud and clear. Adam is saying, "enough," put it in perspective, she's 20.
She's in a business, in a media culture (as the 'Miss Representation" trailer so succinctly makes clear) that rewards what she's doing, not critical thinking or intellectualism. That's a problem, for sure, but not all Miley Cyrus' fault.
Her performance fit the songs whose messages are "I don't care what anyone thinks, I am having my fun" (her song), and - much worse, imo - "Men, assume "good" girls that you are attracted to are actually sex freaks who "want it" (Robin Thicke's song). (Ironically, I have seen some criticism against her not so much for anything she did but for not looking "good enough" doing it - too skinny, "no ass," etc.)

Actually, I wish someone in "the media" or at the PTC would mention the lyrics to that song@#!*$!! which is being broadcast night and day on terrestrial radio. And Miley did not come up with this on her own. The really awful part was in Blurred Lines which is not her song. ETA: Bridget - I think you have a great point about her overall physical appearance.

Not that it was too sexual/culturally appropriating.

The Roller Coaster Series : Day 114
So I'm still healing from the aftermath of that horrendous show , I see Adam has a different point of view .
Or maybe he was just being political . An Intelligent artist wouldn't trash another artist on twitter , or it will make him lose fans , right ?
Or maybe he really like the ~show .
Or maybe they payed him for the good feedback , LAWL !!!
Then he went on and started tweeting about Miley , and supporting her .
I think it's because he feels bad for her . He knows what it's like to get back-lashed for a performance , eh ?
But I wouldn't compare Adam Lambert's 2009 AMA's performance with Miley Cyrus's 2013 VMA's performance .
I just can't .
There's a difference between being "Controversial" , and being "Ridiculous" .
I love Controversy . But I despise ridiculousness . Miley could have been so good and beautiful and SEXY , if only she didn't act so ridiculously . She doesn't even know what she's doing .
But it got everyone talking , right , Adam ?
Oh and btw , it PAINS me to see Adam replying to ridiculously obscene tweets . Should I write something that vulgar to him to get his attention ?
I tweet him lots of pretty stuff and ask him good questions and tweet him my drawings , and nothing . Somebody tweets that she's gonna sit on his face and let him you know what , and he replies .
I'm not happy .
