I was re-reading the EQ article and I just have to post this part because it is so true. eqmusicblog.com/eq-commentary-lgbt-equality-or-just-a-really-good-show-the-macklemore-vmas-gay-debate/"Last year Adam Lambert made one of THE defining gay anthems of our time – it’s called “Outlaws Of Love” and it’s one of those LGBT anthems that literally brings tears to my eyes, every time I see and hear him perform it. Most people would have deemed this track more than single-worthy. A lot of hardcore Adam Lambert fans would have supported this song as a potential single from “Trespassing”, with hopes of elevating Adam Lambert to the level of Freddie Mercury or Elton John. But why wasn’t “Outlaws Of Love” released as a single? It’s actually more poetic than Gaga’s “Born This Way” if you’ve ever heard it. Well we can only guess, but something tells me that Adam Lambert would have loved RCA to have invested heavily into “Outlaws Of Love” as a single in 2012 – but they didn’t. Instead, they wanted him to make an album of 80′s cover songs which eventually led to leaving the label due to “creative differences”. You can’t say the boy didn’t try!Adam Lambert was also actually in attendance at the 2013 VMAs in which he presented an “Artist To Watch” award to Austin Mahone for nothing more than having released his a mediocre song and video for “What About Love”. Meanwhile the LGBT equality show is going on in full effect at the VMAs with Adam Lambert not partaking. Instead MTV is crowning Macklemore with high praise for “Same Love” – bringing a straight rapper, a lesbian and a straight R&B superstar ally in way of Jennifer Hudson to perform the track to the world on international television. Everyone really, except a gay male artist was present during this LGBT equality show. But I guarantee you this, if Adam Lambert would have joined Macklemore, Lewis, Mary Lambert and Jennifer Hudson during their performance of “Same Love”, the result would have had a much bigger impact. Actually, if that happened, you wouldn’t be reading this article right now."

Why are some Adam fans even suggesting, in THR article, that Idol needs Adam as a judge? Adam, I think, is finally beginning to break free of Idol. He no longer needs that show. I don't get it. They can't seem to let go of Idol. It's not like Adam lacks fans in that demo. Right now the Idol fans are super excited about Harry Connick Jr. He's so far removed from current it's not even funny. That should tell you right there what fans he'll pick up. What will Adam really gain from being on a show that is sinking quick. Every current artist Idol went after has turned the show down for good reasons. The show has lost it's pop culture status and is no longer relevant.

Another rumor now, Harry Connick Jr. I'd say just sign him and be done with. Harry seems to be a nice enough guy but his musical tastes are very old fashioned and staid. Certainly not new or exciting. Booooooring... So I am cautiously putting my toe in Atop water now that the AMA discussion seems to be over (no diss on ANYONE who found it cathartic, interesting, news to them etc.) I just wasn't in a space to process it. So this Harry Connick thing is news to me. I looked him up because I didn't know anything about him and lo and behold! I find his big call to fame are his hot sales on Christmas albums. I also find he is 45 years old (I am way older than that but that is not the point) Geez Idol Nothing like hot, young, relevant and exciting! Anyone but Adam is comical at this point and in answer to why do any of us care? Purely selfish. We want to see that face on TV week after week. But if it ain't in his best interest and they come knocking - they can go twerk themselves.

I had to watch this AMA FYE performance once again, because I've always thought that Adam's spin (fall) were planned and intended to do so, as he did it. I still do not know whether it was really stumbling . But if you say that it was an accident and that Adam fell, I believe in you! And I love the FYE video, it's great! Oh yeah.. you better believe it . And Adam confirmed it in interview with Michael Slezak, he talked about it in one of the Realite inteviews. www.youtube.com/watch?v=2XrQlpwdm2c&list=PL58C8422488868FC6He also talked about it in interview with Jim Cantiello, you can search his YT. Thank you also for you Adamme! Now, I am convinced that the downfall was an accident!
