BUT, KISS was ready to play Fever. They had a video up on their website and even referred to the song as the "next single" at one point. I put the blame squarely on RCA---they were too afraid to put the song out there. Who knows, maybe it wouldn't have worked. Maybe the "little stations" wouldn't have played it But, the biggest station in the country was ready to support the song I didn't know that. RCA...so glad Adam is rid of you! Damn! The DJ's literally gushed over the song. Fever had so much buzz initially with all the talk about the Gaga connection (this was when she was so cool and at the top of her game.) Adam was interviewed at KISS (Elvis Durand and the group, is he still even there?) and Fever was all they wanted to talk about.

Thank you for the long contrarian post Q3... I love reading reasoned arguments by knowledgeable people! Food for thought, whether ultimately in agreement or disagreement. I love her post, too. I don't post much and annoy everyone when I do, but here it goes: 1. Homophobia is alive and well, and equality is far from a done deal. I agree that a gay artist couldn't have popularized Same Love. However, only a few years ago, no artist, gay or straight, could have convinced top 40 to play Same Love. The song is radical. It doesn't only deal with civil rights, but also DIRECTLY takes on marriage equality, on top of attacking right wingers and the Bible. I stress DIRECTLY, because this is where the song differs from "Born This Way" or "Firework." Some change in the right direction is better than no change. Kudos to the lgbtq community for creating this change. 2. Asking the majority to remain silent when it comes to civil rights is crazy. That the majority is vocal about an issue means that they feel strongly about that issue. That makes the issue politically powerful. Obama called for full civil rights after polls made it obvious that he would gain by such a stand. Few Democrats today could pass something like DOMA and hope to survive the next election cycle. All that helps the lgbtq community. Without vocal majority support for a minority community, you get Russia, where (according to a Pew survey) 85% of the Russian public supports Putin's laws against the lgbt community. Given that kind of support, why would Putin think twice about scapegoating a minority community? Out of the goodness of his tiny yet saintly heart? Hardly.

I'm still pretty impressed by how similiar their facial features are. Its really hard to tell that both sides arent Adam. I wish they would show the original avicci pic for this as I have not been able to find it.

President Obama follows Nile on Twitter? Okay, fantasy time. The president needs a singer for a huge White House shindig. Nile tweets him: "I've got just the guy, Mr. President!" Murly, allow me to ask "What made you think of that"????? 8-)

Apparently, he has a whole website dedicated to his nose!! really? wow...and that nose is not even close to our nose on perfection scale! Adam can have a whole website dedicated to every part of his body - eyes, eyebrows, nose, mouth, cheekbones, hair, profile, GB, ass, legs, chest, arms, hands, etc. I am not kidding, I have never seen someone with so many perfect physical features. And to top it off he is model tall at 6' 1". I have a thing about height. When I think of perfect male specimen, I always think of someone at least 6 feet. I looked up the height of a lot of these heart throbs, like Brad Pitt, Johnny Depp, Jared - Adam is taller than all of them! Oh and he has perfect posture too.

I am all for the support of straight people in the LGBT movement. What annoys me is that it seems straight people get more credit and awards for their support than gay people get for their in-the-trenches work for gay rights. It's a lot easier to make statements when you're a member of a group that isn't marginalized or discriminated against. As a straight person, I know darned well that my willingness to speak out does not even come close to being as brave as a gay person's willingness to be out. And it's also strange to me that some of these lists of "gay icons" (or other nomenclature) mostly have straight people on them.
